Received mine today. Unfortunately it had some dead pixels and the display quality does not even compare to my 19" Philips 190S. :( UPS is picking it up tomorrow for return.
I've been reading a lot of reviews on this and many people are complaining about a splotchy text issue. Anyone know about this? Would it be because most of them are probably using intel integrated graphics? I have a 8800 GT and really want this monitor, I'm about to splurge
Thanks
Hi, I'm fairly new to overclocking and was wondering if this OC and the way I did it is going to be safe/stable.
(My build specs are in sig)
I went to the BIOS and changed to 400x8 so it's running at 3.2GHz, 29C Idle. I put the voltages on Auto instead of Manual.
Then I overclocked my...
Really, let me know how the replacement goes if you would please. Anyway, I just chatted with a Newegg support representative and they've issued me a RMA refund with no restocking fee. Should I take that route and get another motherboard, or try a replacement?
enginurd, you there? Help! :)
After searching on google and posting in another forum, I've concluded that my Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L Motherboard has the cold boot syndrome.
Hardware:
Intel Dual Core e6750 with ninja heatsink
Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L
2gb GSkill ram
Corsair HX520w PSU
BFG 8800GF
120gb...
I tried both memory sticks. I've just updated my BIOS to the newest version and it just booted up fine; doubt it will fix it though. I've been searching this all over Google, even this forum, and apparently this cold boot issue is a plague among many of these P35 DS3 boards. I guess if all comes...
Okay, I've tested everything with the minimum amount of components, CPU, 1 stick of ram, the PSU; It failed again. Each component is using its own power cable. 1 for GPU, 1 for dvdrom, 1 for hdd, and 1 for the fans. How can I reset my BIOS?
What do you mean by "Make sure you have your 12V rails sorted between devices." ? Also, how would I go about reseting the BIOS? Should I try updating the BIOS if there is one? Thanks
I had it in my old rig (one in my sig) for about 3 days before I put my new one together. Everything worked fine. I've already decided that it can't be the video card because I took it out completely and it did the same thing.
The only thing I touched in the BIOS was disabled the Auto CPU fan so it spins at full speed. I have nothing overclocked. I eliminated my video card being the source of this problem because I completely took it out and it still does it. I really hope I didn't get a defective PSU. Everyone i see...
Okay, I tried booting it this morning, and it happened again. It seems to do this after being off for a longer period of time, maybe after it cools down. I tried taking the card out completely again and it started and shut off even faster. I don't know what the problem is, every cord is in...
Okay, I took out the card completely, and it seemed to boot properly (even though I had no video to tell, however it did take me to the "do you want to boot windows normally or in safe mode" menu so that's why I guess it booted right.) I also switched out the PCIE power cord with the other one...
Upload your spreadsheet or elaborate more :P Your cells are either incorrect or something because the formula dont match up
edit: or make a guide with screenshots :P
I just installed Vista on another partition. My question is would that slow down the boot up speed on my XP because it seems like it loads alot slower. Thanks
Where should I put these 120mm fans. I have this case. Right now I have one in the front, one on my Ninja heatsink and the other on the side. Should I move the side one to the front? What would be best for maximum airflow to get lower temps. Or should I get a fourth and put it in the front, or...
I'm not sure if this is the problem, but I've narrowed it down to it. When I press the power button on my computer, no boot screen or video appears, I can hear my 8800GT fan spin at 100%, but it goes longer than usual, 10 seconds normally, then the computer shuts off immediately. 5 Seconds later...
I was wondering whether it would be better to put my front 120mm fan on the side? I have one on the back, and one on my Ninja. I ask is because my temps for my BFG OC 8800GT are idleing around 61C on only 29% fan speed. Is that normal? Should I increase it to 50%?
Load temps get around 80C...
Another problem, my house is older and does not have wire installed into it. So theres no way for a second receiver unless it gets professionally installed around my house.
Hi there. I have Direct TV and want to be able to watch TV on my computer. The problem is, my satellite receiver on my first floor on the opposite side of the house. Is there anything I can do about this, perhaps some sort of wireless transmitter? What would I need to do?
Thanks!
mackry
I wasn't sure which forum fits this question; either this or video cards. Anyways, I have Direct TV and want to be able to watch TV on my computer. The problem is, my satellite receiver on my first floor on the opposite side of the house. Is there anything I can do about this. Is there some sort...
Would system hardware detain the full OCing potential of my 8800GT? I can currently get around 667 with my BGF. heats up tho. What programs are best for OCing? nTune? Can someone give me a tutorial link, never really OC'd gpus before
Well, on top of the great price is the Extended Return period - up to Jan. 31, 2008. So if a new card comes out, take it back, get a full refund, and get the new one. Better than eVGA step-up. I'm going back and getting 10% off on top of that CC coupon I did. Sweet deal for me, only paying $112...
