Is 1x MCP655-B with the EK Rev2 top enough for the following loop or do I have to use 2 pumps. I'm trying to keep it neat by only using 1loop instead of 2.
Motherboard = EVGA X58 SLI
CPU = Core i7 965
Video = BFG GTX 295 with DD Water Block
LOOP = MicroRes -> MCP655-B -> 1st MCR320...
I'm getting ready to put my new pc together, but was wondering if it is worth it to get blocks for the NB, SB, Mofset on the P6T Deluxe. Does the board get hot enough to warrant the blocks or would it just be a waste of money.
Also is 1X MCP655 with a EK D5 top using 3/8" tubing
enough for...
My revised setup with advice from this forum. QX6700 overclocked to 3.2 MHz. I used to have everything on a single loop, but changed it to a dual loop configuration. Temps went down with dual loop!
Loop 1 = MCP350 > MCR320 > Apogee GT > DD 680i > Microres
Temps = 32-34C idle, 46-50C load...
Do I have to use the same tubing size for my whole loop or can I use 2 different sizes? I have a MCP350 with Petra's top which must use the larger tubing 7/16, but I want to use 3/8 for the rest of the loop, since 7/16 is such a pain to take off the barbs. Will the two different tubing sizes...
I just bought 2x MCR320 and I was wonder which way should I mount them on the back of my pc. Inlets on the top, or inlets on the bottom? Or does it really matter at all? I already have holes in my case for the inlets to be on the bottom, so I'm hoping that it won't matter, but if it does...

I'm upgrading my system and need some help on setting up my loop.
This is what I will be using:
2x MCP350 with Alphacool modified tops,
2x Swiftech MCR220 QP
DD-680i block on the NB
Alphacool NB-SLI block on the SB

Anyone know which chipset water blocks I should use for the north and south bridge chips. I had the EVGA 680i board, but that's getting rma'd for quad core fix. Don't know how long that's gonna take, so I'm going to buy the Commando and start all over again. Thanks!
Would 1 MCP350 pump with a modified Alphacool Laing top, which I already drilled out the top inlet hole for a 1" barb be enough to power the following loop, or would I have to use 2 pumps?
I will be using the following items:
1x Swiftech APOGEE cpu block
1x Danger Den 680i chipset block for...
Has anyone replaced the chipset heat pipe on the EVGA 680i board with water blocks? And if you have, what blocks did you use? I was going to use my old ASUS A8N MAZE4 chipset block to cool the smaller of the two chips. But I have no clue as to what block to use on the bigger chip (the one with...
