This past Sunday, Aug 22, around 7:00 am I noticed the slow download problem in my laptop. I decided to call my ISP. Lucky for me the technician that help me was smart. He performed some tests and within 15 minutes he told me I had a bad modem. He set up an appointment for Tuesday Aug 24 for my...
As per suggestion from Kardonxt I followed steps from website. There was a driver update.

Thanks Kardonat.
Dell tech already replaced Killer Wi- Fi 6 AX 1650x card. My guess it was a Dell part made in China.
Your suggestion is to replace wifi card with one made by Intel. I found this on website...

Any help is appreciated
I enter Win 7 ultimate product key and it took it. Screen read "Upgrade your edition of Windows . Upgrading will add new features to windows" I could choose Start or cancel
If I start, will it load Win 10 pro on top of home ? What is it going to do ?

No. I will wait until I have a problem with Win 10 home and need to reinstall. Then I will install Win 10 pro and type my key for win 7 ultimate. I can wait
I have ideas now. You guys are the best. I check the website every day
Thanks
I don't need any extra feature from Win 10 pro. To be honest, I am retired and Covid has me house bound. Middle of winter and I needed something to do. That's it !! Win 10 home is not broken and reinstall is a lot of work.
Thanks
Thanks Chris. Not looking forward to do a clean install of Windows 10 Pro. Laptop is running fine. I would wait until I have an issue with win 10 home and need to reinstall. Then I install win 10 pro.
Then I had this idea. Partition my laptop SSD and install win 10 pro on second partition. If...
I purchased a Dell laptop model XPS 15 7590 in May 2020. I came loaded with windows 10 home. I had an old desktop with windows 7 ultimate. The desktop was trashed. My question is, can I upgrade my new XPS laptop to Windows 10 Pro and use the product key from win 7 ultimate ?
Thanks
Ok. No driver required. But I would like to adjust brigthness, contrast and color and I have no way to do it.
Also not sure if the front lower panel on the monitor opens. I tried but I hate to break it
Your help, comments appreciated
Thanks
I recently purchased an LG 27 inch monitor model 27BL65U-W. I installed and I am running win 10. Looks great. I checked device manager and it shows that it's running Generic PnP monitor. The driver version is 10.0.18362.693 and is dated 6/21/2006. I click Update driver but it replies "The best...
Thanks guys. I like the suggestion "Just install Ubuntu and let it repartition your harddrive." but virtualization sounds a lot better. It's easy, low risk, but slow. I will install virtual box and see how slow/adequate it works. Thanks
I think what you (mjz-5) are implyng is to partition the laptop SSD and install Ubuntu along with Win 10 in same SSD. But the laptop has two extra PCIe slot so I can add another SSD. From what I have read here, it's best to install Ubuntu in separate SSD.
Am going to purchase a Dell 15 in. XPS laptop and I would like to add (myself) an internal SSD so I can install Ubuntu. One problem I foresee is that in order to install Ubuntu I should disconnect the existing SSD. Could I install new SSD and load Ubuntu while other laptop SSD stays connected ...
Well guys: I set the desktop to "check for updates" over night. To my surprise this morning, they were all there. I install most of them staying away from Kb2952664 and Kb3035583. I am not interested in Win 10 yet. Thanks all for your help.

I have a Dell Inspiron 531 desktop with AMD dual core processor 4000 and 4GB of RAM.
I am running Windows 7 home edition. I have not turn on this desktop in a couple of month. It shows last update was April, 2015. So, I recently turn it on and went to check for windows updates. I have windows...
Sorry. It was a partition copy not a full image. The action was "copy partition from C: (the SSD) to an unallocated 100Gbit area on disk 2 (the hard drive)'
I have a Dell desktop Inspiron 531 with:
1. Originally configured for Vista, upgraded to Windows 7 Home premium.
2. AMD 64x2 Dual core 4000+
3. 1 GB RAM (Might have 2 Gigs)
4. Kingston 120Gbit SSD (C:)
5. 250Gbits hard drive
My problem started after I created an image using EaseUS...
bigted: I think you will loose your bet. I bet if I pull Vista drive out, Win 7 won't boot. Reason (I think) is because MBR is on Vista disk. (Any comments/corrections here are welcome). Put Vista disk in, now nothing boots. I would then need to insert Win 7 DVD (which I have) and fix Win 7...
BigTed; Thanks for your reply:
Does it matter if it's XP on the E: drive ??
For example - Win 7 (C: Drive) is label: Primary - boot
Win XP (E: Drive) is label: System - Primary
The reason I ask is that my other desktop is configured in that fashion.
