Well if you think about it you already reached some level of "hollywood" quality visual effects. What we have today is very close if not better to what you had in the cinema about 15 years ago.
Something like TRON visual effects are piece of cake for today computers. Check this out video out ...
It is both due to games today having the need to be console aware and due to the fact that most are waiting for DX11.
I think will see many PC centric releases soon and a bit of focus on PC gaming yet again in the near future..
There is a bit of a gap between the upcoming DX 11 graphics cards...

Man am I in doubt about this. I was considering the Beng G2400WD. I play games a lot but do other stuff too on the computer. From movies to work you name it. But most of the time i'm gaming. I just don't want to loose competitiveness due to the monitor. So my question is. Is this monitor good...
I've been adviced the HP LP2475w .
I play games a lot but I also surf the web work and watch a lot of movies in the PC.. Actually. I do pretty much everything on the PC. I'm a software developer.
I'm hardcore but from what I've been told the HP LP2475w latency is low enough to not screw my...
IT is hard to choose a good 24'' panel. All sorts of people recommend me different things.
Anyway I play games a lot and I'm bit afraid of the low latency issue. I don't want to give the other players an edge because of that. But I also surf the web a lot, watch movies and work on the PC so a...
SInce the GTX 260 216 dropped prices I'm looking for good ones to SLI in a system I'm building.
My options are available at
http://www.pccomponentes.com/TARJETAS_GRAFICAS_NVIDIA_PCI_EXPRESS-2.html
It would help if you guys could tellm me whats the best on that list
.
I was considering the Benq G24000WD due to its very low input lag.
But it seams that the IPS panel Hp Lp2475w has better image quality and in gaming the input lag is not perceivable when compared to CRT.
Anyway, even though I mention this panels I may choose other.
My question is What is...
With the current drop in prices of the GTX 216 260, building a SLI build became pretty affordable to me. From what I've read I could get performances close to the GTX 295 and still save money.
Now from what I can tell I'll need to avoid the OC editions of the GTX 260 216 because they haven't...
Unfortunatly my options are limited to what my retailer has available
http://www.pccomponentes.com/FUENTES_ALIMENTACION-3.html
And from what I can tell for a 850W power supply the Antec Truepower 850 or the Corsarr 850W are the best.
I'm going to do some heavy OC. My case will be a Coolermaster...
I'm looking for the best 850W Power supply.
I'm considering the Corsair TX 850W. But at my retailer there are other options like the Antec truepower 850W (more expensive than the corsair) and many others.
What is for you guys the best 850W power supply out there?
My choices are limited...
Good to hear. The OC3 1500 Platinium is in fact a bit cheaper than the gold one. this further led me to confusion.OC3 15000 Platinium for me then. Thank you.
I'm building a new rig for a core i7 920 that I plan to OC to around 3.8 Ghz. Got eveything pretty much setup but now I'm in doubt regarding the memories.
I got two options that pretty much have the same price. The OCZ Platinium 15800 (1866Mhz) 3x 2G. Timings are CL 9-9-9-28. And the OCZ Gold...
Nice to hear more people stating they're dropping prices. I'm planning on buy my new system next week or the other. Over here it is cheaper to buy two gtx 260 for sli than a single gtx 295 and it looks like the perfomance is better so i will go that route. Safer also if I want to sell one later...
But most DX revisions don't show much of a shift on the way things are done. From time to time there is a graphics card API that shifts stuff quite a bit.
If I'm not wrong Dx 5 was the first version that made some difference. Then a few years later DX 8 and it seams to me the next will be DX...
I agree with you. A new generation of graphic cards is just around the corner and in my opinion the adoption of this new gen will be faster then it was with DX 10. Why? Because DX 11 features are much more prominent than the DX 10 ones.
Computer shaders for instance will open up a new ball...
I'm considering buying one of this cards. The XTX 260 Black Edition or the Saphire 4870 Toxic. From what I can tell they're equaly priced,
in some cases the GTX260 Black Edition but it really depends on the games. You guys confirm this right?
I'm leaning more towards the XTX Black Edition...
Each day NVIDIA is loosing customers. I was pretty determined to buy a NVIDIA graphics card. I wanted CUDA and physx for extra eye candy. But frankly with the new ATI drivers there are games that with a cheaper ATI graphics card have better performance than the NVIDIA counterpart.
Even if I...
I really really want NVIDIA to cut prices. I'm extremely disapointed with NVIDIA.
With the die shrink they're graphics card consome less power and costs THEM less.
As a single chip they are more powerful then ATI counterpart.
A few months ago they had the best drivers and usualy people...
I don't think so. People looking for graphics cards usually know the difference. Why ? Because when you buy a computer with a graphics card capable of playing games and even more one like the 4800 series or the GT200 series you usually search for information online or on magazines on what is the...
ATI fights NVIDIA's rebranding with better pricing. Prices cut for the 4870 range and below

As if things weren't bad enough for NVIDIA...
According to news we can also expect a...
Fact is price perfomance wise the GTX 295 does not make sense even for the enthusiast.
IF NVIDIA wants to take the crown than it needs to beat the competition. And they aren't doing that. They have released a new and more powerfull graphics card with a price tag that doesn't make sense.
I...
Anyone what is better overall?
I'm a gamer by the way and was considering the G2400WD for its reputation in terms of low lag and good image quality for a TN.
Is the Asus VW246H better?
Does it support 1:1 picture mapping like the G2400WD
Just my 2 cents.
I like competition. I like it ALOT.
Fact is both new NVIDIA cards are great. And if there was no competition we would all trow money towards NVIDIA.
But with the agressive price of the 4870x2 it is very very hard for most of us to go out and pick a GTX285 or GTX295...

Sure. I agree with you. But taking into count that the 4870X2 is competing with the GTX 295 for the price of a GTX 285 it is quite a difference. Enought a difference for one person building a new computer to be able to have a better power suply and still save money.
Don't get me wrong. I'm...
