Got myself a Surface Pro 3 this week. It's a lot more portable than my Envy 17. :D
i5, 8gb ram, 256gb SSD configuration. Pretty nice deal at Best Buy right now. $100 off sale + $100 off EDU discount + free year of Office 365.

Did you compare this chair to other high end ergonomic chairs like the Herman Miller chairs or similar offerings? I'm curious what made you choose this particular chair. I'm also in the market for a new chair.
Yes, you can adjust the difficulty. I believe class specific set items only drop on Torment 1 or higher. You can still get all other legendaries at lower difficulty.
This is a good short and sweet explanation.
As far as what "transfers" from EQ:L to EQ:N so far the only thing we really know is having EQ:L will "unlock" the Adventurer class in EQ:N whatever that means. They also hinted at some other benefits for Founder's Pack purchasers, but they haven't...
I'm really looking forward to reviews and mods for this game. I'm hoping there will be some awesome ship mods. I don't mind having only one ship. Someone just needs to make a Firefly mod.
Yes. Root is easy to achieve. However, you have to be careful how to do it so you don't trip the Knox counter if you care about your warranty. So far no one has discovered a way to reset the Knox counter. Chainfire (the guy responsible for Triangle Away) said it's unlikely we'll find a way...
I'm using Stark icons.

I came from a Galaxy S3 and love the Note 3's battery life. It's more than double the screen on time. The S3 struggled to get more than 3 hours of screen on time. The Note 3 easily gets more than 6.
I'm using it right now with my Note 3. Works like a charm and it's more stable since the recent update. It use to cause random reboots every now and then because of Android 4.3 compatibility, but since the update I haven't had any reboots.
WANAM allowed me to theme some important areas of the...
Apps that require root is the big one for me. I no longer flash custom roms like crazy like I did on the Galaxy S. On the S3 I flashed a custom rom on it a few times and stuck with the same rom for years.
Rooted apps that I find indispensable on the Note 3:
Greenify - to prevent Facebook and...
Widget Locker. You can configure a variety of locks that can access apps quickly. I have 4 showing here, but you could add 4 more by including the diagonal directions.
There's a Sense UI locker included as well.
Diztronic is very good and cheap.

I just upgraded from the GS3 to the Note 3 and it's a huge upgrade. The battery life is insane comparatively (about double in real world use). The larger screen and higher resolution makes it great upgrade even over the Note 2. I happen to like the more squarish design of the Note 3 compared...
You can probably do it if you're rooted and change the CPU governor or something, but I don't see the point. Doing so will probably just cause the device to heat up more than necessary while gaining a negligible amount of performance.
Only major flaw with this phone is lack of a microSD slot. Wish it had one. As such, it's off my list of phones to consider. For anyone that doesn't need a microSD slot and wants something smaller than the Note 3, this looks like an amazing phone.
I took a break from GW2 as well and recently started playing again. If you like events, you'll like some changes they've made and some quality of life things you can do to track and participate in events. Below is a like to a mod that allows you to see active events in the game. Particularly...
So tough deciding which package to get. I'm looking at getting one of the 300i promotions. Does anyone know if the 350R has upgradeable weapon systems?
Essentially I want to be able to upgrade the 350R with the weapon systems of the 325a. I want a twin engine fighter!
I've updated the drivers several times now and it's still occasionally getting BSOD's. Any thoughts on how I should go about fixing it?
Latest DMP file:

CPU: 3570K

GPU: Gigabyte Windforce OC GTX 670
PSU: Seasonic X750
Mobo: Asus P8Z77-Pro
HDD: Sandisk Extreme 120gb/240gb
I've updated the video driver, hopefully that'll fix it. Although both times it's happened I was on the latest drivers...
My new computer is getting occasional BSOD's when coming out of sleep and I can't figure out why. It doesn't happen often, but it's enough for me to be concerned.

Attached is the DMP file from the BSOD. Can anyone tell me...
I'd pay good money for Homeworld 3. The original is still the best space game I've ever played.
Sins is a good game, but it's a totally different style of gameplay.
Just because a game isn't perfect, doesn't mean it's not immensely enjoyable. The flaws he pointed out are very real and needs to be addressed, however, the flaws are greatly overshadowed by how enjoyable the game is despite the flaws.
+1 Couldn't put it better myself. And unfortunately the first 2 are a vocal minority that flood the boards with complaints.
And equally as unfortunately, the casual players are either too busy enjoying the game in their free time to bother posting on the boards or visit the boards only to...
ANET has outlined the various teams that work on the game. There's a team dedicated to live content, special events and such. Having them work on those items aren't taking away from the team working on fixing bugs. They also have team working on class skills/balance.
They've posted...
I thought about getting a fan controller, but the only fan I can actually hear now that everything is put together is the 140mm exhaust fan. And even then, it's a please whooshing sound.
Based on a suggestion, I swapped out all my red SATA cables for black ones with 90 degree connectors that...
I was going to go ITX, but decided to just go will a full sized build. I've been eyeing this case for a long time.
I got the AF120's and SP120's mixed up so I have to go get a few exchanged today and also get an AF140 for the exhaust. I didn't know the exhaust could hold a 140mm fan...
Just picked up the i5 3570k for $169.99 and an Asus P8Z77-V Pro motherboard for $149.99 (that's with the $40 off combo). Also picked up a bunch of other parts for my build.
Not too shabby of a deal. The fan controller software, built in wireless card, and debugging LED's made it worth it...
Nice video. Good laptop. I'm just sad HP discontinued their real Envy line and instead rebadged the DV series with the Envy branding.
The Envy 15/17 were in a different league than the DV6/DV7 for the same price. Seems like HP is no longer catering to the enthusiast crowd.
In any case...
Yea. Based on what an Ivy bridge MacBook Air gets (with a 50whr battery vs 42whr on the Surface Pro), I'd say you're right on the money. I'm just hoping for more somehow.
