Just installed my B3 board about 25 minutes ago. Same thing with me, in fact Windows even lost my audio driver.
Ended up calling MS to reactive Win7 too.
That's pretty much it. Just to clarify the LAN on the Pro is from Intel, on the regular it's most likely Realtek.
Also the regular lacks native eSATA ports, it appears it is only provided through a bracket.

I'm trying to get a handle on the allocation of PCIe channels on my P8P67 Pro. Piecing together info from a few reviews and the manual I think I have figured it out. Does this look right? Hope this helps others.
The board supports 3 different modes for the PCIe x4 slot. (Auto / X4 Mode / X1...
The ATI775 bracket is finally in stock so all the xiggy users like me can mount our heatsinks correctly without blocking memory slots.
I'm excited that it's finally available stateside and wanted to share. :D

I agree, and for the hard core pc gamer unfortunately that means games like Peggle, Diner Dash and the Sims2 are entry level games now a days.
I know a ton of people, many admittedly female who adore flash web based games or other simple "addictive" games that look like products of the mid...
I just jumped from an Ultra-D to the DK P35 board. While there are many more BIOS options, you have to keep in mind that they are "optional".
To achieve a basic OC all you really need to do is change around 5-10 bios settings at most, nothing any more challenging than the NF4 line of DFI...
I remember a few years back when Abit released a line of "legacy free" boards without PS/2 or Serial and Parallel.
Everyone threw a fit because they wouldn't run their perfectly modern IDE drives or uber l337 PS/2 gaming mice.
Same thing is happening right now. The number of people who...
While I don't have first hand knowledge to argue either way on the current crop of boards, 10 years ago I was running a dual monitor setup with a voodoo 3 pci and onboard ATI graphics.... (ah nostalgia) My educated guess based on past experience is that this should work, however maybe someone...
Quake Wars - I totally thought this would be a continuation of the BF2/2142 series but better story and more interesting. Demo turned me off, total arcade crap shooter game. Felt like Quake 3 outdoors.
Bioshock was a great game but it gets an honorable mention for no re-playability. Once you're...

You made the right choice. The only thing you could have done differently would have been to go with a eVGA 9600 and step up to a 9800GT or GTX. However that would have exposed you to some risk and probably cost a lot more money than you want to spend. You did the...
My $0.02 is that the recent price cuts on the 8800GT are a means by which nvidia is clearing out old inventory. It's a firesale so to speak of what remains of their G92 cores as they move to the slightly revised G9x of the 9000 series.
I could be wrong but I think just like when the 7900 series...
I have two PDAs for sale. Both are used, but in good working condition with only small cosmetic scratches. The screens on both units are in good condition. The Clie I got to take notes in class a few years ago, only used it for about a week, and then turned the unit into an emulator machine. The...

I need to get rid of my Wii. I need rent money because my roommates can't pay their fair share of our rent and sit on their lazy arse playing my Wii instead of getting jobs... therefore I just need to get rid of this thing, its a great system but not my cup of tea. (I'm more of a PC gamer...
check the dfi-street forums. They can hook you up with a bridge, even if its for the Ultra-D they don't care. DFI is all about modding, from what I hear they will gladly sell you an SLI bridge.
EDIT: By they I mean DFI, just PM their official reps.
My father has a 52" Plasma with HDMI. A DVI-D ---> HDMI cable will work just fine. HDMI and DVI are 100% compatible standards, withDVI only lacking sound, and usually lacking copy protection.
As long as you are sending non copy protected (non HDCP) media down the cable, I can't see any...
The chipset is irrelevent, everything is linked through a hypertransport bus. They might need new motherboards, but the chipset could be anything. Hell you could run K8L on an Nforce 3 if anyone was willing to build a motherboard like that.
June 6th the AM2 motherboards and CPU's should be out. AM2 will work with DDR2-667 or DDR2-800. As for performance numbers, and what either of the two speeds will look like we will have to wait for more reviews in the coming months.
If your upgrading you need a new cpu, mobo and ram all at once.
All socket A athlons say they were "made in 1999" its imprinted on the CPU sticker.
You need to list off the entire code found on the sticker or fire it up and check on a socket A board.
