Ive been in contact with James and hes forwarded me shipping details etx. Whar pico PSU would be powerful enough to run something like the Galaxy 750ti and my i5 4670S?
WOW, I've just done a little digging and the dimensions of the 2 cases are as follows:
Antec ISK 110: 222 x 78 x 212mm
Lone Industries L1: 220 x 94 x 220mm
The L1 is essentially the same size, just an additional 16mm in height. Seriously tempted to get that case. Do they have any...
Would the HD7750 fit inside the ISK 310? I'm not fussed about running the most modern PC games at max settings. But some light gaming with it and primarily for Dolphin/PCSX2 etc..
cheers
Hi guys,
Thanks for the replies. I've decided and I think I'm gonna go with the ISK 310... but want to know what is the best GPU that will fit inside, without having to mod to the case?
Cheers all
ras
Hi mate, that looks good. Would this case allow the fitting of ANY of the low-profile/half-height cards, 'without' having to cut holes in the chassis? :)
Is this only because yours is a fanless GPU?
cheers
I've just completed my Mini-ITX build inside the Antec ISK 110 and am very pleased. However, I'm already thinking about installing dGPU, which would obviously mean a larger case.
I want the very smallest case possible that will fit the smallest graphics card possible. Again, tiny, tiny... I'm...
Hi all,
Here are some pics from my Mini-ITX build - spec:
Case: Antec ISK 100
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-H87N-WiFi
CPU i5 4670S (65W)
Cooler: Noctua NH-L9i
RAM: 8GB Corsair DDR3 @ 1600
Storage: Kingston 120GB (SSDNow) SSD / Hitachi 1TB HDD (7.2k / 32MB cache)
Lot of people complained about the 4-pin...
Yeah I've heard the same about the Brix, though the NUC is a lot quieter. Again, not 'too' bothered by a bit of noise. The NUC will no doubt do what I want for emulating most systems but it would be nice to have a blast on Steam with some modest games. I think I can do this without dedicated...
1. What will you be doing with this PC? Primarily Emulation first and foremost with a little light Steam gaming. I've got a dedicated gaming rig but figured it woukd be nice to play some less graphically intensive titles... rayman, walking dead etc.
2. Will you be overclocking? (If so, are you...
Uncanny, I was actually looking into this today and many people say that Triple buffering helps even the framerates out. As you say, it may help a lot.
thanks for the advice dudes.
I was so nervous about purchasing this monitor, but the level of advice on this forum is phenomenal. I've don't regret coming from a 21" CRT one bit. The 2405 is a superb screen and I'm overjoyed with it.
Incidentally, do you 'force' VSYNC via your vid drivers...i.e. nvidia panel?
I'm not a casual gamer, but neither am I a hardcore gamer (prolly somewhere in between). My honest opinion is that the 2405 is a bloody excellent monitor for the price. The picture is amazing. Certainly, it does have ghosting etc, but not (IMHO) to the detriment of gaming. I recently installed...
Ok, I've just managed to play some games on the 2405. I have to say (having NEVER used an LCD monitor for games before) some of the talks regarding how bad this monitor is for gaming, were, for me at least, unfounded. I thought the games were absolutely playable. Sure, I could see the trailing...
Yep, Dual Bios sticker - I used to use Gigabyte exclusively when building new systems. Never had any issues with em. However, it's actually an Abit KD7-G in there...pretty old board now. That's my main workhorse PC. My new gaming rig is next to it and the 3 server's are (intentionally) out of...
Here's my new 2405. Haven't had time to clean up properly, having just finished building the desk. Truly excellent monitor's. Perfect for my multipurpose usage :)
Edit: Pic removed due to exceeding my bandwidth with my host
Well, my replacement unit arrived earlier today. I hooked it up to my mate's CAD workstation and we fired up Autodesk Inventor - @ 1920x1200, the clarity is just amazing (mind you, I'm used to older CRTs). There is one dead (greyish) pixel, down towards the bottom right...it's nothing - I'm not...
All excellent replies, cheers guy's - tis much appreciated. I'm gonna be testing it out on Monday night (when I get the new one), so, as you say, I can see for myself.
I think the beauty of the 2405, is that it's decent (allegedly) at scaling resolutions. For desktop/apps etc this would be...
I get the sense that LCD's (no matter what the response rate) just aren't up to it for online fragging? However, surely to god there must be some pretty damn fine gamer's out there that use LCD display's, exclusively. I don't plan to play much FPS online...mainly coz I'm crap. I will, of...
I hear ya, there are all manner of opinions regarding gaming on this beast. Personally, I am not a hardcore gamer. But, I do love gaming and would certainly plan on playing online - However, I'd most likely be using it for playing GTL / rFactor etc on (online). Mainly due to the fact that I'm...
Just what is the 2405 like with regards to gaming (response, smearing, ghosting, scaling capability etc)? There seem's to be a lot of conflicting opinion's. I have had to send mine back to be replaced so didn't get chance to test any games.
Yeah it's all packed up ready for sending back. Was actually ok, but had several dead pixel clusters and that's why I reckon it was a return etc...although yes, I do realise that it will be hard to get a 24" TFT without dead pixels. Still, I wasn't accepting it in the state it was. If the next...
Hi mate,
What sort of performance do you get from this? I was thinking of swapping the Dell 2405 I just got (it's being replaced as it was shoddily packaged and look's like a repack job - plus loads of dead pixels) for the F-20 or the AL2032?
How good is the monitor for 'scaling' to lower...
