I like the GIGABYTE G1 Gaming GA-Z170X-Gaming 7 motherboard but they do not list Xeon's as compatible. That's not to say it doesn't work so I am looking for advice or experience using Xeon's with the Z170 chipset.
Thanks in advance!
His original title was intentionally trying to use previous negative RMA issues to twist the arm of Asus to fix his blatant blunder. Malicious financial intentions should not be coddled or tolerated and I'd go as far to say that if he had been taught the value of honest business as a child he'd...
That would be my biggest complaint with this TV. The color shift is pretty noticeable going from a sitting position to standing. So to be honest, it's more about being 'eye level' then it is about sitting to the left or right of the screen. It's not a deal breaker for me but I could see how it...
Having owned a JU7500 for almost a month now I can say that I NEVER notice the curve while using it. I'd recommend those debating on this feature to not include it in their calculations. In the end you pay more for something you won't notice. You might initially but give it a couple weeks and it...
Well my UN40JU7500 turned off by itself last night but turned back on and I didn't think any more about it until today when it happened again. This time it power cycled twice within the last 30 minutes. Anyone know what might cause this?
haha!
You know the name of Asus used to mean something to me until I read this thread. I had thoughts of buying the 980Ti Matrix on preorder at newegg but after reading this? HELL NO! Bad Asus! Bad!
Asus will not change their business practices until it hurts their pocket and I intend to...
If you do at all?
My old GTX 560Ti was hitting 57C at idle!! So I decided to take off the heatsink and replace the thermal compound. The stinking heatsink didn't want to let go so when it finally gave way my fingers got sliced up lol :(
After calling myself stupid several times (well deserved)...
I don't understand all the butthurt and vile attitudes toward people on a display forum. I guess there will always be some out there that cannot address anyone with respect when they have differing views. Kinda makes you wonder how they get through life :D
Oh yeah the obligatory "SONY SONY...
So all of a sudden you have two people in here complaining about game mode and 'bleeding colors'. I'm not saying it's not true but it looks suspicious to me being that once challenged they resort to insults. To each their own and if you don't like the display I'm sure Sony will do you better...
That's a valid concern. I should have mentioned that I frequent the state they have stores in so return shipping won't be much of an issue for me. I'm sure not everyone has that option and why it may be better to purchase from elsewhere.
Maybe I don't know what I am talking about but from what I read at Rtings.com is that the JU7500 has a faster response time that is essentially twice as fast as the JU6700 (8.9ms vs 17.9ms respectively). You don't think that would be night and day difference? I noticed the difference in store...
I was going to go with a JU7100 last night and thought better of it. It's $800 but if you ad tax its roughly $855. I noticed that it doesn't come with a pair of 3d glasses which is another $20, putting the total around $880. I can order the JU7500 online with free shipping, no tax AND a 60 day...
I'm curious to know what GPU you're using. I was thinking about going GTX960 route until Pascal next year but I know I would be relegated to 1080P gaming with that GPU.
You know I was thinking the same thing. Well I haven't purchased one yet but it's been between the 40JU7500 and this one. TFTCentral shows this to be a high quality 4K monitor but I hear a lot about defective units. I don't know how frequent those are though.
Could anyone weigh in on how...
If you play first person shooters then I would say 27" as the biggest (at least competitively) as I've used a BenQ and it was perfect. At one time I had a 50" Plasma that I used as a monitor for a short period and while I know its a horrible idea it was simply too big. Having gone out to HH...
I think you kinda answered your own question. Since you don't watch movies and 3d doesn't work for monitor use then you're left with the JU6700. one might be tempted by the faster response times of the display to obtain less ghosting but from what I've read that doesn't help in PC mode either...
Whats wrong with me? I cannot fathom spending $600 on a TN panel. What am I missing?
EDIT: I know it's 144hz but you can get the same size for much less. For example
I wasn't aware the JU7500 series was only an 8 bit panel. Kinda put a damper on my electronic lust :(
Hate to think I'd have to spend upwards of $1300 for a 10 bit panel.....
Thinking maybe I should upgrade my PC (rig in sig) first instead of going with a Samsung TV as I hear they refresh...
Yeah IDK about the triple ultrawide setup. It seems some games do not play well with that resolution, but I can definitely see the benefits if using it for content creation. The very fact that you have to physically swivel your head to see things on screen may become a bit cumbersome. Probably...
Would you agree this is dependent on the user? I'm using an old monitor with the above 'bad' PWM and haven't noticed.
EDIT: I actually like the X810C as its a very nice TV for it's price point with some benefits the Samsung's don't provide (120Hz@1080P)
Are you stuck on 65" as the size? If you're willing to trade size for quality there are some really great TV's to be had. The UN55JS8500 will be on sale for $1500 at Best Buy on black friday and you can obtain an LG OLED "55 right now for $1400. There's also the HH Gregg sale for the UN55JU7500...
