The tower has no identifying labels except for a Part# 11147183111600068, googling this P/N gives me nothing. I even looked at google images of full towers, didn't see anything similar. I would like to know the manufacturer and model number, but alas, stymied. Thus this post. Perhaps someone can...
Ok , here is a better pic. I think it may be the inverter. Anyone know? It's a shadow which moves from top to bottom continuously. The photo captures one moment as it vertically crosses the screen.
I'm looking for a POST diagnostic card that will work with PCI-E... I have an older one for PCI alone and of course it does not work with the new slots. I have been looking around (principally on ebay and amazon) and I can't really understand what's what with the new diagnostic cards. Can anyone...
I am using an Aspire 5742 laptop which is "standarized" for ddr3 1066Mhz memory, (204 pin) however my laptop is running fine with ddr3 2x2gb of 1333Mhz memory. It runs at 1066Mhz, but with lower CAS latencies, which is nice. I am thinking of upgrading to ddr3 2x4gb 1600Mhz memory, but not sure...
I bought a second hand UPS on ebay a while back, the seller saying there was a new battery installed... I've been noticing through testing (and blackouts) that it will last me only about one minute before shutting down.
It's an Eaton Ellipse eco 800 which uses by default one 12v 9AH...
I am using BIOS F9. The latest is a beta F10b. I am not (or was not) too sure about using a beta bios
edit: upgraded to F10b and yes it holds. Thanks so much
I'm running the g3258 cpu with a ga-z87-ud3h board. In the bios the CPU vcore is set at 1,27v and the multiplier to 44. Readout in the bios says this is 4,4Ghz. The RAM is set at profile1: 1600Mhz at 1,65v.
When I boot into windows (win7 ultimate sp1 32 bit) and open AIDA64 or CPU-Z, these...
i don't think there is that... it did recognise my floppy usb perfectly. i don't have the laptop here. i gave it back to my friend, told him to get a compatible dvd drive for the laptop itself.
i was working on a friend's laptop the other day, who btw had exceeded his trojan limit, (bah) and as his dvd which came with his laptop was toast, we connected an external lite-on DVD (very modern) to the usb port. well, to make a long story short, it was not recognised in DOS, would not serve...

hi all, i am in eurpoe.
i was debating between purchasing the Dell 2408wfp and the HP lp2475w... and along comes an offer for a BENQ fp241W that i found which beats the prices of both being about 100 euros cheaper. i know this BENQ model was considered one of the best models ever in its day...
i have the possibility of buying one of these monitors second-hand and i asked the seller for date of fabrication and he says that one of the labels on the monitor has "june 2007'. what does this mean firmware wise?
thx.

In a nutshell, copper works out to be the best cost effective material for heat conduction available to us computer users at the moment. meaning it removes the heat from a cpu faster than aluminum does. on the other hand, aluminum is cheaper.
i think it was about the time of the s370 cpu's...
i have same motherboard. my memory is at +0.3 (2.1). bios readout in PCHealth section is 1.96v on the memory, but hey it also lists the cpu temp at 16C (mobo temp 20C) so i have no idea where these bios readings are coming from. wish someone would enlighten us on these variances. .
first let me thank bill parrish for the guide on the first page of this thread for his help in setting up my board and guiding me thru the myriad list of unknown bios terminology.
On my testing bench at the moment i've got a ga-p35-d3sl rev 2 board, running an e4300 CPU at 335fsb (3.0Ghz) at...
