How to wipe large drive over 3TB?

Can anyone give some suggestions on some free programs to wipe my Seagate 4TB HDD before I sell it? I'm assuming Killdisk and DBAN don't have such support for large drives since I keep getting errors when trying to load those from the boot CD's.

    Dead Motherboard? Or something else?

Hi All. Recently my desktop won't boot up where there was no more power going to the motherboard and no fans turn on etc. I do see the LED on the 3.5" USB hub in front of the tower light up, but it would promptly turn off when trying to power on the system. I bought a new eVGA 750W psu thinking...

    SFTP help on Ubuntu

Thanks for the suggestions guys. My colleague was able to getting all 3 figured out with the Chroot and Match User/Group commands in modifying the sshd_config file. We basically denied root SSH access and denied remaining users SSH access in the config file. We also used ufw to deny all ports...

Need advice stacking 2 Cisco SG500 series switches

Thanks for the info guys. So regarding the SFP cables, I see that there's genuine Cisco ones and then there are many options that are 'compatible' with the SFPH10GB-CU1M. If I want less headache, I assume I should just go for the genuine Cisco cables or are these third party cables fine to use?

Need advice stacking 2 Cisco SG500 series switches

Hi everyone. My office is expanding so ended up buying the same series of Cisco switch so we can stack a SG500-28 (current switch) and a SG500-52 (new switch on the way from Newegg). I understand I'll need some sort of SFP cable which is where I'm getting confused. The Admin PDF from Cisco says...

Powerline AV and network switch or wi-fi router?

Anyone have experience with the ones on sale from Rosewill on Newegg? They're noticeably cheaper than the other brands. If they still do the job, I'm willing to try them out.

Powerline AV and network switch or wi-fi router?

Hi guys, I've been doing some research on powerline AV and I'm considering moving to powerline av from my current wi-fi repeater. The problem is I'm not seeing anything online that says you can plug in a 10/100 switch or something to a Powerline AV end and extend your network like that. Does...

BSOD on Windows 7 ntfs.sys file

It came out fine after 6hrs of Memtest. I think the OS install is hosed as well so I'll use the OneKey recovery from Lenovo to restore it back to original config.

BSOD on Windows 7 ntfs.sys file

One of the laptops at work keeps getting a BSOD whenever trying to load into windows or even safe mode. I checked the RAM out with memtest86 and it came out fine. Since the hiren's CD i was using didn't seem to have a HDD diagnostic tool, I tried ultimate boot CD but that also fails to even load...

Automated Backup software for CentOS 6?

It's a physical server. Alternatively, I can install the backup destination drive internally as well since I have a spare 3TB.

Automated Backup software for CentOS 6?

Hi guys. The SFTP server at this site is using CentOS 6 and I've been asked to find a automated backup solution for it. Ideally, the manager is requested a full system image first, followed by daily or weekly incremental backups on the data only. Are there any easy to use GUI based...
