Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I've bought quite a few refurbished things before, but never a pc component. Geeks.com seems to have quite a few refurbished drives for fairly cheap. Is there anything to look out for when purchasing a refurbished drive? Will I get about as much life as retail or OEM drive? Any info is appreciated.
Nevermind I actually went and bought an e6700 I found on eBay. I'm really new to the Core 2 CPU's so I really wasn't sure what was compatible with what. Thanks again for the help guys!
So my new e7400 just came in this morning and after installing it my pc won't POST. All the fans and cathodes are working but no video or any motherboard error beeps. I upgraded to the C2D from a Pentium D 820 and when I reinstalled the Pentium the pc ran fine. Any help, ideas, or suggestions...
Since I'll be receiving my tax returns soon I figured "why not upgrade the pos of a pc I have".
Only issue is I'm not really sure where to start, so I figured I'd ask the people over at [H] for some help. System consists of:
-Asus P5N-D
-Pentium D 820
-4GB Crucial ram
-BFG 9600GT OC...
Currently use the 16GB iTouch (mainly as a remote for my Sonos system) and a 80GB iPod Classic. Previous mp3 players include Zen V Plus and Zen Mosaic.

The main setup:
The music stuff (i have a Marshall dual 12" amp but it takes up too much space in my room so it stays in the garage)
The rig:

No idea why the pics make...
A little off topic but I too am sort of in the same situation. I currently have a BFG 9600GT OC and was wondering if it would be better to either (A) upgrade to a GTX 260 or (B) add another 9600 in SLI. Adding another 9600 would benefit me financially due to other expenses right now but would it...
