C2D e7400 help please!

So my new e7400 just came in this morning and after installing it my pc won't POST. All the fans and cathodes are working but no video or any motherboard error beeps. I upgraded to the C2D from a Pentium D 820 and when I reinstalled the Pentium the pc ran fine. Any help, ideas, or suggestions greatly welcome.

Specs:

ECS NF650i SLIT (yeah I know go ahead and make fun of me :rolleyes:)
9600GT
3GB RAM
Windows XP/7/OS X
 
Most likely just needs a BIOS update...

Look into it for your motherboard.
 
RMA it for Intel Core 2 Quad processor Q6600 (G0) or an Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 (G0) - that will max you out.

Yea that chips not on the support list for your mobo!! Try contacting your mobo supplier and see if they have a bios update to fix it..If not you will have to get different chip!!
 
Nevermind I actually went and bought an e6700 I found on eBay. I'm really new to the Core 2 CPU's so I really wasn't sure what was compatible with what. Thanks again for the help guys!
