Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
just remember though; as seen by Antec and their abandoned high quality Trio Power ....... once the knife gets too sharp and the product is crippled; "even a god king can bleed"
I apoligize for the cheezy shot :o
I think there is a substantial portion of the membership here though that would like to see some top notch grade units reviewed,
hell; anyone thats going to lay down the $$$$ for an E6600 or higher and 8800 GTS and above really arent or shouldnt be...
may be much safer to test PSU;s from manufacturers that dont have the "big gun" engineers that will "correct" you when you are wrong during your testing procedures
test the seasonic & PC power & Cooling
sure they wont give you any freebies >>>> they dont need to!
I agree with JG 100%
if you are dishing out all that money to buy high powered video cards, why take a chance trashing your system with marginal sized or quality units ?
especially when JG has so many excellent reviews on better choices to run such a rig?
if you want to really save...
Ok then pray tell; if the quality of the general build doesnt need to be higher and the wiring more of a premium nature then why doesnt the Ultra 1000 make the 85% eff grade ???
if its nothing of conseqence to make the 85% mark, hell why not do it ? and the extra heat produced with...
the OCZ 700 will do the job just fine; but there isnt the overkill that many think their is with this unit
#1 >>> its not rated at 50C; which often translates to its wattage claims are attained at 25C temps
#2 I recently read a review at toms hardware where the actual wattage is really...
I would respectfully disagree with that response. Higher efficeincy units are just plain built better, it takes a higher level of quality across the board to achieve the energy savings.
Which over the coarse of three years (average warranty period) can easily account for the difference in...
The Seasonic 600 has slightly better "guts" than the Corsair 620 but the Corsair is a great unit too
dont get buyers remorse, you bought a great unit that will run your system very easily and forever!
The antec true power 550 was known for having saggy 12volt droop
the antec TRIO power line is by far much better & different OEM that manufacturers them!
