Cyberpunk 2077

would have been cool to have some exclusive areas with the various Lifepaths...

Why the hell would restrictions on where you go be cool? As it is, the life paths impact dialog and choices. They also can potentially limit your romance options. I think that's a far better approach for replayability than artificially restricting where you can physically go based on your life path. I didn't exactly come from money, why wouldn't I be able to drive to Highland Park in Dallas? Doesn't make sense.

it wouldn't be a major area...just the starting prologue...I wouldn't mind...I'm sure most (or a lot) of people are going to replay the game anyway so getting to see new areas would be a nice touch

which feeds into my only concern about the game- which is the fact that it takes place entirely within Night City

The only restrictions should be those violently trying to stop you from going somewhere, and in the words of Mal. 'If someone tries to kill you, you try and kill them right back'.

Well, each life path has a unique starting point. Also, you don't have to see the whole city to complete your individual stories and quests. It's likely you will end up seeing parts of the city you hadn't before with each play through. However, the areas aren't restricted as far as I know. Why would the game being restricted to Night City be a concern? We knew there would only be one city in the game and frankly plenty of open world games have similar restrictions. I'd rather have a single well fleshed out and detailed city as the only setting rather than a massive area with multiple cities that seem half complete by comparison. There are technological limitations in play here.

This isn't strictly true anyway as there are surrounding areas around the city that we can explore. The Badlands is an example of this. There are also rumors of other areas, but we'll have to wait and see.

I think it's more powerful for people of different life paths to be able to comment on lifepaths that aren't their own. As an example Corpo lifepath getting commented on by Nomads or Streetkids. Or the Corpo perspective on say Nomads I think would be interesting as they go out into the badlands.
Gaining more perspective is preferable to the vacuum imho.

Not true,Liliyah, the community manager during her 1st appearance on the Triple S League podcast last year, said it does not. Think skyward...

Dude you bought Anthem, this will be gold pressed latinum by comparison.

*before getting uppity, I too bought Anthem.

I'm leaning towards a 3080...I'm at 1440p 144hz and have no intentions on getting a 4K gaming monitor anytime soon so a 3080 fits my needs (especially coming from a 1070)

Same here. 3080 FE for me.

3090 is an interesting wild card but 3080 is more realistic for my setup. I am 4k. I wonder how insane the "shortages" and all that will be when these things are actually released?

So who has already prepaid their deposit on a 3090?

Im going to start saving. Won’t be able to get it this month, but I want one by November if possible.

Edit: Might even jump over to Zen 3, if it’s out by then and performance is good enough. I wonder if PCI-E 4 will make a difference with the 3090.

I'm at 3440x1440, would upgrade to an equivalent 4K ultrawide if the option was available but I am considering splurging on a 3090 even if its overkill given all my ski trips have been cancelled for the foreseeable future and I now have money to burn. I can delude myself into thinking I am future proofing.

I am praying Zen 3 releases at the same time so I have a single upgrade path rather than swapping out GPUs and then having to do a completely new build a short time later.

I've had a rule that I'll never spend over $500 for a GPU. But I will also be upgrading from a GTX1070. Was hoping the initial announcement would be higher than 8GB VRAM on the 3070, so I'm willing to wait... but it's really hard to justify to go to the 3080 even though I know the upgrade will be awesome.

3080 here since I'm only at 4k60 gsync for awhile. I want an LG oled but it's not happening for quite some time yet.

I have a 65" C9, amazing TV but I can't be bothered lugging a 30 kg full tower case back and forth between the lounge and study at opposite ends of the house.

Realistically 3080 all the way for me. Best value for me at 4K. It will be interesting to see how much of the what's become normal with the stupidity we see with the "shortages" and people using nowinstock and the mad rush. I'll get it when I get it.

For me I've tended to gravitate towards the Tis and I will have to deliberate if I go for this or wait for the 3080Ti.

I need to get a replacement motherboard for my i7-6700K before thinking upgrading graphics card. 2 SATA ports don't work anymore and and I can't run dual channel either; this just happened recently in the past week.

Tried to re-flash the BIOS but no luck. I knew I should've stayed with ASUS instead of going with MSI.

Same boat as you. 1440p ultrawide 120Hz monitor. I was originally thinking 3090 but its hard to justify twice the price for no where near twice the performance. I'd rather get a hybrid 3080 so it can run cool and quiet for this game.

Russian Q&A. Just make sure to have English subs on (in order to read the questions - the responses are in English). If you'd like to know all the specific questions that were asked, a guy in the comments timestamped everything.

The greatest asset to a game like this is the world building. And it's clear that CDPR have done this at every level.
The geography. Architecture. People groups. This is going to be one of the highest level RPG's to date.
The fact that there are TV personalities at this level says a lot. The amount of VA and motion capture that must have been done is insane.

a 1060 is the recommended requirement (and a GTX 780 is the minimum?)??...not what I was expecting....of course that's without RT but that's still a lot lower then I was expecting...I thought it would at least be a 2060 for recommended

That's probably for 1920x1080 I'd imagine. At 3440x1440 or 4K, I expect it will crush systems with RTX on.

in all the videos they released the graphical fidelity honestly does not look like a major step up from current games...maybe without the YouTube compression it will look more high-res but the world building and environmental detail is what has been most impressive...I think Deus Ex: Mankind Divided still holds up today as a cyberpunk graphics showcase which rivals CP2077

Every influncer is in the game. This is Alanah Pearce Carnage Cohh is the game as well.
