Then you have zero understanding about VRR and stutter/judder caused by the mismatch between framerate and refresh rate. Why do you keep linking blurbusters if you haven't read half of it? Do you just skim through the articles and stick to the bits that agree with your beliefs?
And input lag is also not a big deal to you. That is entirely subjective and I can accept that some people care less than others.
And I don't know why people are saying they don't see big gains when upgrading their GPU on BDO. Sounds like they have a seriously weak CPU or something. From 980 ti to 1080 ti my fps roughly doubled (I got exactly the 70-80% performance boost claimed by nvidia and hardware reviews), even in cities and mass pvp, at any resolution between 1080p and 4k with just an old 4790k @ 4.4ghz. If we want to talk about CPU limited then let's talk about Arma 3 or DCS or something... (more games where ULMB is a no go and VRR a godsend). And as for an extremely popular and completely GPU bound game, there's always ARK Survival Evolved lol. Drops below 30fps at 1440p with a 1080 ti.
