I am sure the TV/walls/monitors/etc is going to love that Vive Tracker.
I like that rEvolve setup. Since I wear glasses though I am not sure about it, but I really want that flip up ability.
If I did that, I would punch holes in my monitors, windows and probably a few walls. Not to mention I would probably bulk up pretty good over time .How would you get the action to cycle without live rounds? That really seems like a situation where a custom upper would work better than attaching stuff to a real one.

Because I would need a real baronet attached to it , use it to butt enemies as well . Unless the tip of the barrel had a sensor on it - it would reek havoc in my some what small space. If my space was open, much larger that would be a different story.Punch holes in your monitors, how, exactly? With the muzzle? Or do you mean you'd mistakenly use live rounds? I'm imagining a custom upper for the AR-15 that includes some linear motors that manipulate the hammer and bolt assembly so that the trigger resets, and you get at least some simulation of recoil. Otherwise, you'd have to pull the bolt handle after every shot to reset the trigger.
My concern with the new headstrap is that it's potentially going to cost $50+ when it really should have come with it in the first place. If you look at the Rift it's basically emulating that and that was included in the original price.
Was the slim Cable longer than the original cable? My issue is the length of the cable right now

Well the rEvolve kickstarter is up:
It looks as if the price is $85. That's a bit steep IMHO. They offered it to 10 early backers for $65 but IMHO that was the most I was expecting to be. I hope they get to their goal of $5k, but I'll wait for the finished product to see what other people think about it.
Just came here to post this. WAY too expensive for what it is.
A scam. They already surpassed the goal and if you've spent 800 dollars on the headset what's 85 more?
Definitely interested in something like this. The biggest problem with both the Vive and Rift is the head gear. Something relatively simple and easy with a ratchet style strap would go a long ways.I don't think it's a scam personally, but I do find it overpriced. I would be more inclined to believe the reason for the higher price is they didn't think they could compete with the new HTC version headset strap that was announced so they only have a small production run planned. Remember VR is not exactly a large population yet, if they lowered the price by 30-40% they'd need more backers also. If you go by today's figure they have about 72 backers for a combined ~$7800, and have already surpassed the funding goal, but if they lowered the price by just $20 to $65 they'd only have about $4600 and wouldn't even be funded yet. It looks as if they are going to be giving prototypes out to VR review sites according to their update page. Kyle you should ask if you can review it. $85 is a bit too high IMHO for the general market but I might still jump in at the last minute if I can read some reviews on how well the flip option works if you have glasses.

Do it! I did when I was in a small temp apartment during my move, definitely worth it.I love my vive, but I just moved into a smaller apartment and now I don't have room to set it up Thinking about getting rid of my dining table and using that space as my vr area
Or maybe a folding table that can be leaned against a wall.I love my vive, but I just moved into a smaller apartment and now I don't have room to set it up Thinking about getting rid of my dining table and using that space as my vr area
