I saw this thread last year and was inspired to update my stuff a bit. Also, I have just discovered that my Droid X's camera sucks.

Finally went through the hassle of cleaning up the wires under my desk. Doesn't look like much, but I velcored a switch to the underside of the desk and have some other wires taped to the desk as well. That and wall mounted the plasma... and that little ISK-300 on the right side is the HTPC which streams video from the server

Blazestorm, those look like Galant top surfaces, but the underframe and legs do not. What's the story there?

No, netflix. My rig has a 6970 so I can watch movies, compress video, and play Bad Company 2 on full graphics no sweat. When I get my third monitor I'm planning to go full eyefinity.

It was called the "Effectiv" desk... I got it for free off craigslist. I was looking at a Galant and that config was like $250+ and then I checked craigslist that same day and found that. I guess it was what the Galant used to be.
It has a few scuffs but for free I was happy

Moved the TV to my dresser and got a monitor setup.. found a nice place to stick my telescope!

where did you get the desk from
As my forum name implies - been there done that, I got my "Cav Sandwich" in 90-91, but man oh man, I DO NOT MISS THOSE DAYS. Best wishes, stay safe, you'll be home soon enough to begin building a more stable workstation. Nice camo theme you got going there though

I see a lot of people running Bookshelf speakers for their sound, especially in the Ikea Galant thread.

Methods like this have to be questioned. WTF? Just quote the pic of the Ergo mount if it gives you such a [H]ard-on. Me, I was thinking about quoting that pic of the paper notepad . . . but you already did so I left it alone.

The only issue I have with my glass desk is that it can get hard to clean. But, that's not a big deal.
