I just got into a vehicle... how do you guys drive around?... it says "use WASD and mouse"... I can only use W and S for forward-reverse and mouse to look/shoot.
But there is no steering (left right).
I put this :
Bindings=(Name="F10",Command="FOV 90",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False)
Under bEnableMouseSmoothing=true in the Engine.Playerinput section. I am running the STEAM version and the toggle works for me, it stays the same even when i get in a vehicle, go into a different section and after I am sprinting.
Try editing the WillowInput.ini then save and close and close the folder AND close steam and restart it then load up borderlands.
And of course change "90" to whatever you want your FOV value to be and your toggle key too...
i got pissed today. I preordered a copy of the game and was looking forward to playing it today. Well the company decided my preorder was'nt enough reason to ship at least 1 copy to the store so it could be a few weeks before I get it.
Can someone explain how to use D3DOoverrider to force AA? I've never used it....![]()
That works for me, but it's pretty lame the game snaps the FOV back to default when you get in/out of a vehicle... I really hope they patch this.
Bindings=(Name="W",Command="MoveForward | Axis aGas Speed=+1.0 | FOV 90",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False,LeftTrigger=False,RightTrigger=False,bIgnoreCtrl=False,bIgnoreShift=False,bIgnoreAlt=False)
Why didn't you warn me that he can fly in this one!?Holy shit I just killed Rakkinishu and he dropped a cracked sash. I love this game.
What level were you? I noticed that level's really make a big difference, you can only really fight maybe 1 or 2 levels above what you're at realistically.
I went and fought Bone-head (who was LVL11 I think) and I was LVL 7 or 8... even in Co-op with my brother it took us a good 15-20 minutes of picking him off before he died. I ended up finding a spot inside the town that I could snipe from and he wouldn't shoot back, even then I had to keep hitting him in the head constantly to keep the shields down and actually do some damage. But then once we were LVL10 we went and found other LVL10 guys and they died much faster...
It's weird, but it makes sense I guess...
thats a good point. I think I was lvl 13
however, I noticed that the difficulty of the mission will change depending on your level (it will say easy, hard, normal, etc) and that particular mission said normal. At any rate, it's nice to play though a game where it doesn't necessarily hold your handit's easy to get yourself into a sticky situation
Does the 360 controller work with this game?

Well there's a known issue now for some AMD 4800 users out there. The game crashes for unknown reasons during game play. I'm experiencing it after 30 hours of zero issues, so I'm stumped as to what's causing it. Someone said the 9.11 betas fix it, I'm going to test it out and report back.

Same here, I've been using a 4850X2 with zero problems.
(...watch, right after I post this Borderlands is going to crash on me. Life is always like that.)

Omfgahd. Are you shetting me. I kid you not, I just tried to launch Borderlands and it gave me a blue screen and restarted my PC.
I'll try it again and try to catch what it said.

Just launched it, and crossing my fingers at the splash screen, I finally heard the cheering background and sighed in relief when the game loaded up; I alt-tabbed to tell you guys.
Hmmm, this time around I wasn't logged in via the friend's community in Steam. Maybe this affects something?
I have to admit thats pretty funny.
Damn I hate ATI drivers.
Man, with all the problems people seem to be having, I'm starting to really feel like my wife and I were better-off having gotten it for the 360 first. On a large LCD TV in HD, the visuals really cant be beat anyway, and the controls are excellent for an FPS on console. Not many games pull that off.
I think we'll just stick with the 360 version (we were originally planning on getting it for both platforms)... though I have to say, it seems far harder to find many other mature gamers on XBL, compared to line PC gaming.
Of course, immaturity is rampant everywhere, but only recently having gotten on XBL, it just seems like a whole different world of people.

Ok...so far the 9.11's appear to fix this. You'll see the occasional missing texture when playing, but they're working well enough.
Am I the only one who has NOT had any FOV issues?
On 4890 no issues here
