so far the only thing that really annoys me is the vehicle draw distance is abysmally low like, ps1 draw distances
Just like Assassins Creed NPCs.

It is GTA mixed with Sleeping dogs and your special abilities are controlled from your cell phone...yawnnn It bored me
Well just finished the first mission. The game did stutter when I first came out of the stadium but after that it was fine during driving. Running everything maxed out except using Temporal SMAA setting. IMO, it cleans up quite a lot of edges and looks damn nice. Overall, the game does feel plasticky. Character models look decent but general street characters are low polygon. The lighting and effects are pretty dumbed down and nowhere near the fidelity of the E3 demo.
However, game is running like a champ and recognizes my 144 Hz display which is awesome. Thus far, the start has been a bit slow and too easy. I am guessing things improve after a few hand holding missions. Overall, looks like a decent game.
All the comparisons to GTA IV are nice in terms of attention to detail but just sheer graphics are much better in this game than in GTA IV or V for that matter. Also this game actually runs at 70+ fps whereas, even after all these years, GTA IV does not run past 60 fps and has stuttering. GTA V is a joke to play on X360 with sub-30 fps 90% of the time.
Will post more when I have some good hours posted in the game.
not having a reputation system is a huge mistake...imagine the possibilities if there were repercussions to all this hacking...right now it seems like you can stand in front of people and hack them with impunity...even earlier Ubisoft AC games had it
God, Origin STILL hasn't released the game to some of us for some reason.
Did anyone here who got in on the deal with the pre order (at 28 bucks) get the game released yet?

From what I saw, there is? You can either be a "good" criminal(vigilante) or a "bad" criminal. I would assume if your reputation is good people are less likely to call the cops on you.
Anyone else having Uplay headaches besides me? Can't log in. Irrecoverable error. Blah blah blah.
same here...just snagged a great deal on the game in the FS forums...but can't log into Uplay
Isn't that great? No wonder people pirate these games. I get it.
There's so many parallels here to the original Assassin's Creed that I have a feeling the inevitable WatchDogs 2 is going to be an INCREDIBLE title as the developers learn what worked and what didn't.
And to be honest, Watch_Dogs is a better first title for a franchise IMO than Assassin's Creed was IMO.
Offline mode doesn't work, either. Awesome.
It took me about 10 launching, then crashing, launching, then crashing of Uplay before I finally got offered the offline dialog. It works.
People are pissed though. Pay for a game, can't activate, some can't even play it because they are having trouble (like us) even getting to offline mode. DRM rules.

Exactly what I'm getting.
I got it to go into offline mode... and nothing's there. LOL. No games, no nuthin'. Amazing.
Watch Dogs is finally here, but some players haven’t been able to enjoy the multiplayer aspects of the game because they can’t login to the required uPlay program...According to the game’s official Twitter account, Ubisoft is aware that players are facing longer than expected login times because of the amount of people trying to play
“We are experiencing issues with the authentication services,” the Tweet said. “Players may experience long delays when trying to login in-game. More to come.”
Until the problems get fixed, the ctOS Moble app, player-to-player hacking and other online options are virtually useless

First time I tried offline mode I got a perfect square empty dialog box that only allowed me to close and minimize. Uplay is awful.. I've been through countless downtimes of Steam and never had to jump through all these hoops to access my games.
Exactly what I'm getting.

I just click the retry button a few times, and it lets me in.
Still get stuttering on Ultra and High textures...wtf. I have the latest Nvidia drivers.
Is there a way to get the cloud saves to work? And why does the UPLAY client crash within 10 seconds of launching the game? Game runs fine after installing 14.6 beta drivers w/ HD7950 CrossfireX even though UPLAY has crashed. Frame rate could be a little better, but it is sooooo much better than the 14.4's that I'm not going to complain. Tempted to upgrade to a R9 290X in a few days for the extra VRAM. Can never have too much of anything.
I wouldn't trust Ubisofts cloud save to save my life. I've heard many stories of saves not making it to the cloud so when they restarted they were in the past where they left off from.
