I don't think it's anything like the first Assassin's Creed.
As in finding out what works with gamers and what repetitive shit doesn't, it's very much like the first Assassin's Creed.

That's what is happening with me right now. I made it out of the baseball stadium and when I get to my apartment I'm stuck outside of it every time that I login. I can't progress past that because the game resets to that point every time that I try to play.
I'll just let them work on getting the login servers working then and hope that fixes it by tonight.
You know with all of the launch issues other major titles have had with login servers this past year, you'd think someone in management would say "hey, maybe we should benchmark the projected load versus our actual capacity".
Just to clear this for everyone if it has not been cleared yet. There is no hacking in this game, you press a button and an action the result of a hack script occurs. What you are doing is the same as getting in an elevator and pressing the "use" button. I was truly hoping that it would have not been this arcade and would resemble somewhat like old school hacking games, where you would actually log in to a computer, do some work on the command line, gain access, trace etc...
All hacking in this game is done by pressing the X key on your controller....it is pathetic, it is like a fighting game where there is only one button and you press it and your character executes a super duper 58 move combo and beats the opponent.
Extremely dumbed down, a complete waste of 20-30 gigs of space and $60.

Honestly using a command line and terminal emulator in a game doesn't sound fun at all. And that's what games are supposed to be right - fun?
Did you even watch any videos of the game?
geez you defend this game at every turn...every element, every detail...is the game flawless in your opinion?...watching old gameplay video is not the same as playing the game

You play Deus Ex: HR?For what it's worth, I really hated the hacking mechanic in FO3. I'd prefer no minigame to a poorly-designed minigame every time.
I'm still not able to log into Uplay...I refuse to play it offline as a lot of the cool features will be disabled
EDIT: just as I was typing this I was able to finally log on...hooray!
Cool features = Being nagged every 5 minutes by someone wanting to challenge.

Getting it to work. In game.
Things look good in the early goings. With a GTX 780 with 3GB of VRAM I'm running at 1920X1200 and for laughs I have everything maxed out except for shadows at hight. MSAA is at 8.
I think I'll probably have to be pulling back a bit on some of that but I wanted to try it as a frame of reference for laughs. Now I'm going to set things against the HOCP write up.
Terrible port. Not worth your time or money. Move along.
It isn't a word identification game. What was poorly designed about a simple word identification game?
does the game look as good maxed out as the Nvidia tech trailer released last month?

I'm enjoying the ctOS towers. Do they get more involved later in the game? They're way to simple so far.

Defend? Thought this was a discussion. Am I not allowed to respond accordingly? Nothing I'm saying is "defensive" where-as there are plenty of you attacking the game. I merely respond in turn. Look at the post above you. He's basically saying the same thing. Check videos, watch streams, do your homework before you buy a game.
They're different games. You're not going to stop and type "hax st0plight=green" when going 90mph down a road.
Or perhaps you would like some time for Aiden to just sit down at a computer screen and you get to type out a bunch of shit for 30 minutes. Thrilling gameplay I'm sure.
Do you get paid per post or is it more of an hourly rate.
Now any time someone mentions about how UPlay is no worse than Steam or whatever, I'm just gonna point them to this thread...
Yeah but when Steam goes down, I have never.. EVER.. EVAH had a problem accessing my games. Major difference.. When Uplay is down the client goes into full on herpa derp mode and you're lucky if it even lets you have the option to go offline let alone the client actually start correctly. 90% of the time it was crashing with a fatal error.
When Steam goes down.. Never.. Ever a problem.. Just straight dialog asking you to try again or go offline.
