Thermaltake Gallery

First post from a long time reader. Here's my Armor. Like everyhing else it's a work in progress. My camera skills need some work...

awesome, mounting dual 120mm's on the front is one of the things i would do if i bought a cm stacker, but i really like the p180's layout, but for now im stuck with a tsunami hah

Hm, the armor-case looks better in silver than black imo :) I've had some issues about TT once upon a time myself but they have improved quite a bit since then...

Nice lookin Armor man! I'd like to get the Armor with the non-windowed side panel and mod on in myself.

Sweet with the dual front 120s, maybe you could stick a 120x2 radiator in the front there.

Thanks everyone

I really like my Armor case, its seems to cool pretty well. The one thing I wish was different or wish it had was a fan blowing in from the side to cool the video card. But I guess theres always the dremel tool. ;)

Some people actually say that a side fan breaks up the smooth in/out airflow of a case. If I had a good temp reader I'd take temps with the side blowing in and without it.

Finished this a cople of weeks ago..

Dude, those handles are friggin awesome. And the whole case theme rocks, with the silver everything everywhere. Awesome job! Now I need to do handles... :D

Hmmm...Oh well it was just a thought. :D

Just curious. I own a tsunami, as well as a chieftec and a kingwin, and others that the mfg name escapes me. but why all the negative comments for Tt in this thread. Really, I'd like a solid answer, not just "they suck!" blah blah blah. Is there a flaw with Tt mfging that causes some major defects that I am not aware of? I was thinking of picking up a tai-chi water cooled unit for my main rig, but may have to reconsider this.

No, Tt has no manufacturing problems or anything. People just hate them because a while ago they had bad customer support and bad cases, and they continue to hate them even though Tt rocks now. No major defects, (except for bad color scheme choices, neon green, purple, and orange? bleagh) and excellent customer service.

Oh, the Tai Chi case looks great, but I wouldn't go with the Tt water cooling. Build your own water cooling system from dangerden for about 180-200, and mount it inside the case. They even made the side door mount standard 120 and dual 120 mm radiators, so you're all set. Custom watercooling tends to perform better than most inexpensive kits.

I was planning to use my own water cooling rig as I have yet to see the packaged water cooling tai-chi available here in the north (Canada). But that discussion is for the w/c thread!

Sweet. Can't wait to see how this turns out. Plannin to cut any windows into it at all? If you only cut out between the fins, it would look normal from an angle, but you'd be able to see inside the case from the side. That'd be cool, but it would take a while.

I was thinking about it. I have to get my hand on one first to see what can realy be done. The store doesn't like me man-handleing their cases! I tried it once, came in with my tape measure and a pencil and started marking up a display kingwin server for a side/top window. Friend of mine did end up buying the case a few days later, but man did they freak when I started drawing on it! Anyway, I was thinking about a window that centre on the door split in the midle, with overlaping multi coloured plexi. You know, one side yellow other side blue, but looks green when closed.

I need to get some supplies in so I can mod my Tsunami. I'm planning to cut out the back and front grills for starters, dunno what I'll do after that...

eab16hatchie, no hdd rack? I like the lighting, green looks very nice. CCFLs, LEDs, or both?

no hdd rack..i thought it looked cleaner without it...plus i have my hdd in that cooler anyway so there was really no need for that...yes just all led's :D

does the case run cooler without the HD rack?

Nice job with the LEDs. I need to go out and get 4 CCFLs for my case, for inside and 1 for in front. Both my CCFLs died... :(

Thanks the CNPS9500LED is amazing, I am overclocking my 3500 (NewCastle so it runs hotter with the 130nm process) to 2.310GHz FSB 840.00 (about 5% OC) and it idles around 32C with this Zalman CNPS9500 I love this thing. Under load the hottest I've ever gotten it with this new hsf has been 44C when I was overclocked to 2.420GHz FSB 880.00 which is about a 10 OC%. That and when idle my CPU idles about 2C cooler than my chipset. The Thermaltake Venus 12 I'd had before that idled at about 54C just for reference. All this and that Zalman cooler isn't even running at full fan speed, it's in quiet mode.

Not a bad finish on the base too (no pun intended with the background :p)

Ooh, colorfull. Good stuff!

I like the lapping job on the Zalman bassist, did it come like that? (A guy can hope...)

Yes it came like that I didn't have to do a single thing to it but install with some AS5. That pic was taken just after I took it out of the box.

Check out my new rig. It's about 90% complete. I'll post more pics after I am finished.

Wow thanks for the postive feedback, here ya go. The wiring is a bit messy up top where it is hidden normally, I need to do something about that someday.
