you can join without registering now i think. you can just do stuff unless someone give u access to build.
 
Soooooo I tried to connect today with 1.5, said "Outdated Version". Okay...read the thread, and saw that G1 updated the server. I updated my client to 1.6.6, and now every time I try to connect I first get "Bad Login", and then if I try again without restarting the client I get "End of Stream".

:confused:

EDIT: So I managed to connect after a few tries. However, now my inventory is complete empty. I had diamond tools and a bunch of other stuff...wtf?

EDIT2: Never mind, I see what happened. I had died the other night, and I remade all my tools and stuff, but I guess the server got rolled back to before that. So I still have all the materials from before.

Weird thing I noticed... if lava is under glass and you build on the glass, it gets set on fire... looks like infinie fire.

I was at the tree farm made by... a... well starts with an a forgot his/her name... farming... and i had so many apples i made a new box for the apples... so i put some wood on top of the glass to build out the storage box, and the wood went on fire... but didnt disapear, stayed on fire... very odd indeed.

hello! my name in minecraft is Withiinthesimple, i would like to become a builder this will have been my 4th minecraft server all the others have gone down and no one has really kept up with them, i see this has a good rate of uptime so i would like to join seems to be a good community, please add me to the build list, Kevin and Jessica suggested this server to me if that means anything

Im Vycor... opposite of my [H]ard name :) yeah it was yours absolut... i like the idea of how you put blocks above the trees to prevent them from growing outta control i should do a farm like that... i see now apples fall automatically which is neat
 
Added. Should make a wall in my house of all the people deserving of a killing :D.

Also, the front of the red building at corsair is done now! (still got the back and roof to do...and inside...and basement)

yeah, the blocks are for the optimal farming. Any higher and you wouldnt be able to harvest from the ground, any lower and you get less wood. And if you are making a farm for yourself, remember oak trees there really is only like a 1 block gap needed for optimal growth. Birch, Spruce/Pine need 2 blocks between (birch CAN grow with 1 block gaps, but not as quickly, spruce and pine dont do well at all)

Lets make a tower from obsidian and glowstone that bleeds lava :D

Or make an "eternal night" area of the map by making a sheet up at level 128. With houses of glowtone and a obsidian!

OR find the hidden objects I placed out in the wasteland!
 
Yea arr4ws get on that video! How about fix ur tower as a poject eh? Build something in skyland?

Yeah that's why I covered my treefarm with glass. It's worth noting that you don't need any space between trees as long as they can receive light. There's a certain pattern for torch placement that gets you optimal growth density, but I don't follow it exactly. For the most part my treefarm looks like one solid trunk when it's grown out though lol.

On another note, Vycor: When you say apples fall automatically, do you mean they fall like saplings? As in you don't have to harvest the leaf blocks? I sure hope the drop rate was slashed if that's the case, otherwise I'm going to need a LOT more chests to hold apples...3 doubles is too many as it is.
 
Yeah they fall like sapplings... id say 1 tree will have maybe 4 apples fall. And golden apples fall quite often too. Maybe out of 10 trees you get 2 golden apples. Not a bad ratio.

Has anyone else had minecraft stress the card unusually? (why theres only 1 screenshot with smooth lighting)
 
I can't win in the wasteland... arr4ws kicks my butt... then deathprincess blows me up... i tell ya its a dangerous place out there
 
Yeah, Minecraft can be unusually tough on Video cards, given the graphical nature of the game. I'm sure it has something to do with the game's use of voxels, as well as a lack of optimization on many fronts.
 
We got bored... decided to make a giant 100 block deep pit in nether. We also added a trap door that drops you into a pool below so you can check it out. Warp to corsair lake and take the closest portal to get to it:

But since the last update its been weirdly jumping up to 90% use of a single card (GTX470s) for no reason. I'll be in a tunnel and suddenly the usage will spike until I switch from fast to fancy and back again, then it will settle...:confused:

Could be from loading or generating a new chunk.
 
We expendaed the cave system now at bottom of nether... it goes out pretty far and then theres 3 walls of lava that come from the top... we blew lots of holes :)
