Cobble looks so... cold and dark... wood looks so warm and inviting... just get rid of the trees around your house like me, this way it wont get your house should the trees by you go up
 
i've gotten a bit of work done on the boardwalk around the lake.

i've put out 2 chests on the deck. one for wood and one for cobblestone.
if anyone could donate cobblestone, it would be MUCH appreciated, as there is a lot that i'm gonna need for this.

if anyone wants to help get it done, please feel free to go at it. i've got enough of it done so far that you should be able to tell how it should look


i would LOVE it if we could get the boardwalk build around the whole lake, and then have whoever wants to build a home,business, strip club on the boardwalk around the lake :)
 
I couldn't resist. I just added a little bit on the boardwalk :)

Wait you guys need cobble? Hahahahhahaha I have like 3 double sized chests full of cobble, ill drop it off when i get online.

Oh well..

In the meantime , the south railway is done. It will give access to OCbaud new great project , the pirate cove (we should find a new name!). Ive suspended the powering of the railway since the new update give us powered rails. We need to know many things , do we keep minecart mania?(i would) or do we go the vanilla way?

Hmm. Minecart Mania has more functionality probably. I imagine the powered rails will be fairly simplistic.

They are pretty straightforward. Though tied together with detector rails, you can make a simple 1 way only rail. Something that would have been perfect for my idea of the rail station in Hashland.
 
So the new update allows you to build powered rails now instead of tricking the system?
 
MCM will still be needed, there are functions of MCM that aren't in MC. There is currently no way to start a minecrart from a stand still which wouldn't do us any good, you have to push start them all.

Also, the booster rails have to be powered to work, which in some cases might be annoying.

also, since no one has mentioned it, they changed how ladders work now, no more gaps, solid ladders only.



PS: no update from bukkit yet, can't update till they do, out till later. That should give them time to get everything worked out, maybe even find some bugs so we don't have to deal with it.

Solid ladders... good thing i put solid ladders on my house last night, cause it looks better. But on the other server i play on, im gonna hafta fix my mine shaft. As my mine shaft goes straight down, whereas on this server i have steps going down to my mine shaft (which is a bit deserted, havnt mined much but gonna hafta start mining as my tools SUCK, i wore through my diamond pick axe already and the axe ia about to die anyday now)
 
I cant connect, getting the connection reset message. Did the server update to 1.5 yet ?
 
Perfect time to do maintenance! :)

Dunno if it was me or the server early this morning around 5am EST... Me and FlyingBuzz was mining around for diamond and we kept finding new caverns. Then MC started acting up for me. FPS jumped fom 100's to 300's while Chunk update went from 150's to 0. And the graph flat lining. Stuttering badly that I nearly fell into lava several times... With my diamond tools! :eek:
 
Well thats good, lol. So your using same wood for same thing :)

BTW for anybody who needs cacti, my automatic cactus farm is up. Phase one is about 10 or so levels of cactus. Im not that far of a walk from the spawn, i just forget which way i am...
 
I'm south west of the big pig, about 2 "towns" over... opposite the "skull" refinary i guess, thats what it looks like theres a building with a skull on it and a smoke stack, im across the water in that little alcove.. "Vycor's Bay" i'll call it
