NOTE TO ALL PLAYERS!


Current chunk load issues are still apparent, I'm sorry at this time I can't do anything about it. I'm not 100% sure what the issue is, but I've got a few ideas that I'll try to implement Monday and Tuesday. Until then, PLEASE be careful, and honestly... use the /home command very sparingly. If you do use it, be very quick on the keys... if you seem to be suspended in air then your fine. If you begin to fall, /home to someone else and hopefully your luck will improve. I have also updated Bukkit to the latest without any fix for the issue.


on a side note, SPREAD OUT PEOPLE! if you'll look at the map you will see that there is TONS of open land that hasn't even been explored... with the ability to /home to several location there isn't a need to be so close to each other. As we spread out I'm sure the person in charge of transportation will have a rail system to cover the place
 
Anybody wanna give a newbie on this server some gear? I came from another server where i had diamond tools, iron armor and 2 houses, so its kinda crappy starting with nothing. Id even settle for some tools to at least help me get started mining/etc...

well according to arr4ws it was bugging out real bad, it's still there, just got to find a mod that's up todate. the one we have hasn't been kept up with so the last patch made it ... wonky...


nothing we have in the nether is lost so no one get all antzy.
 
I didnt think the nether even worked in beta maybe that's why mods bugging out

Is the map on front page updated constantly so I know where to start building I like to build kind of nea others

Also does tbisserber support making portals I like to make a portal from top of ,y base to my mine and also to my sk high monster milling machine

I hafts redo everything on here which sucks had a nice little home tha took me an hour or two to build it's not bg but it's nice
 
im exploring south right now. checking some new mines , i really feel we should build a community railroad to help people expand.

/home is good , but sometimes not enough
 
Down south is on FIRE. i was at OCbaud when i noticed a fire , now its spreading!

server is lagged out

Thanks to sokyoku and arr4ws for helping me out today. Giving me some supplies so I didn't have to spend my time mining and i could build up my little cottage. sokyoku spent a few hours helping me mine trees, and dig out my basement, as well as pretty up my front yard... 3am, time for sleep, got work in a few hours
 
wtf! lol i guess i'm lucky the fire didn't spread to my all wood home...
 
Im starting to become afraid now. Bridges missing, someone setting trees on fire. I dont want my new house to go up in flames, took me a few hours to build it

According to Illustrial, G1 removed the bridge. He doesn't randomly remove things so he likely had a good cause for doing so.

Natural fires do happen due to the pools of lava that were introduced in an earlier MC update. Natural lavaflows sometimes also do this.
 
there is a pool of lava not too far from my home, could have been the cause of it, but i dont remember having any trees around it.
 
The fire was a natural one. I was just walking south and found the forest on fire . No one was near. I planted 500 sapling in the area to make up for it

OC were building a nice railstation near your place. It will connect to the memorial
 
good to hear, maybe it will give me a sense of direction as to where my house is located at! lol

The bridge was about 10 blocks from my castle and illusrtial said he was going to build another one his towers.

As you can tell the crowding is really getting on my nerves. I was looking today at adding multiple maps to get more room.

Of course all this makes me want to push the upgrade as soon as I can to move forward with expansion. Increasing the map size is not an option, increasing map size only makes back-up and imaging more difficult.

It is pretty crowded isn't it?

How would adding additional maps work? Would we just have warps to specific worlds?
 
Maybe it is just me, but I like how crowded it is. It is cool to see the spawn turning into a city, sort of. Also, it is cool how when it becomes crowded what the tunnel system starts to look like. Some like the city some like the country. I am thinking some need a second home ;) Also, that fire is nuts. I think it has been going on for like three days. Cali has nothing on Hardcraft :p

We start building townships..... This is a great way to start spreading things around, and also would be easy to build a rail station in each town and have it all head back to Memorial City where Grand Central station could be built!

Warp mod. We need the ability to start using warps. Home's should be private, but we can all admit using arr4ws home to get back to the memorial quicker. So maybe we need to start thinking about warps? /warp MemorailStation
 
I ahte maps where you don't see your neighbors, im on a server where some people are so spread out, you never see them, might as well play single player.

Do you think im too close to town? I walked about 5 minutes away, passed a few other places before i picked my spot. So im not RIGHT next to someone, im across the water from someone

i plan on making a dock around the lake my home is by. have little buildings setup around it. it gets so damn hard to work though when its night time though :-/

at work today and been with the girlfriend mostly at night... i've been neglecting minecraft :-(

there are a shit ton of trees south of my place, i plan on harvesting wood and making a dock and have a little mini pirate cove sorta area around the whole lake.
 
I've always been build a stronghold, protect my property kind of person. He even told ill he should connect his bridge TO my castle...

I have/had another server where we all chose 1 theme and tried to stick with it, like 1 big group project... ours was an actual functioning city with markets and a full subway for the entire map.



Multiple maps would be tp by command, chat is still linked tho

If I could pick up my castle n move it further out I would, I know some people like being close and this is a community server not my private one.

man, building a pirate cove would be awesome, i would like to help a bit as well, when do we start?
 
well if people are down for it, the lake around my house is fair game.

i think it would be a perfect spot for it.
there are about 6-7 square cobblestone things around that you can see in the photo above, those can be taken down.

i already have part of a dock started, with a walk way towards my home, as long as that's left alone, everything else is open game!

i'm gonna try to get on more and do a bunch of work to it, but more people to help at least start 'Pirate Lake' would be awesome!
 
Man, I always miss out on the awesome builds when they start. I need to finish the Observation Tower first! Anyone want to donate lots of slabs, stone, and glass to speed up the process? :)
 
also, if anyone does start work on a dock around the lake, please place the dock at the water, not on top of it.
that would make it MUCH easier for me to make a tunnel/sewer system under it like we did on pirate cove / corsair bay

I think we're on to the right track. Im a 1 day newbie to your server, but still the "forts" are near each other where you could have a rails tation going to each place... which is good. THeres ample room and yet close enough to walk/take a rail. We can even make the "BING BONG" sound like the NYC subways, lol
