He has a 3080. Why would he play Doom and The Witcher 3 on the switch?
This is way off topic for this thread but I’m currently playing (and fully submersed in) The Witcher 3 on my PC. Where the f*ck has this game been all my life? Can’t believe it’s taken me this long to discover this gem.He has a 3080. Why would he play Doom and The Witcher 3 on the switch

Anything else? Any general recommendations for non-fitness family games?
BotW is also great, you'll enjoy it. But yes, witcher is amazing and i can't wait for the ps5 release to replay it. I haven't done any of the DLC's yet. This is way off topic for this thread but I’m currently playing (and fully submersed in) The Witcher 3 on my PC. Where the f*ck has this game been all my life? Next up: BotW on the Switch
Bumping the correct thread with new information. Nintendo confirmed that they will be announcing the successor to the Switch this fiscal year during their last financial earnings call. Nintendo's fiscal year runs from April 1 through March 31. It will not be announced at the big Nintendo Direct stream next month. A dedicated event for its announcement is expected.

It is the best console ever made in my view.I have played my Switch less than 20 hours in the past 5 years probably. I hope the new one is actually good.
It's gotta be 60fps minimum docked. Like it has to have this. It's painful to play now.I have played my Switch less than 20 hours in the past 5 years probably. I hope the new one is actually good.
Meh, 60 is nice but I'm fine with 30. Still playing TotK right now and have zero issues with its performance even with it occasionally stuttering when I engage the Ultrahand mode and stuff. It's far from unplayable IMO like I see many complain about. It's gotta be 60fps minimum docked. Like it has to have this. It's painful to play now.
after 4 years of ps5, 30fps is a major annoyance to me. Like probably a deal breaker.Meh, 60 is nice but I'm fine with 30. Playing through Metroid Prime Remastered now too and it's at 60 at least and runs great. I'm looking forward to the next Switch, but for what it is I think the Switch is still fine and I'm amazed at the performance they've been able to squeeze out of this decade old SoC now. It's still more than capable of playing a lot of big indie games now at 60 too like Dave the Diver and Animal Well, which is where the Switch still shines as a portable console.
I beat ToTK and while I enjoyed it, the framerate was a major constant bad-taste for me. Lovely game, but I can't wait to see it in UHD running at 60FPS.Meh, 60 is nice but I'm fine with 30. I think you’ll see more backward compatibility this time around.Kicking myself for not just having bought a switch a year or two ago about now... Switch 2 could easily be a year away still. I'll really kick myself if it's not backwards compatible.
I'm just sitting on Tears of the Kingdom because I'm waiting for Switch 2 to release so I can hopefully play the game at 60 FPS. I will try to buy a Switch 2 on day one just to restart TotK because I "can't even" the frame rate.I beat ToTK and while I enjoyed it, the framerate was a major constant bad-taste for me. I'll believe it when I see it.
Yeah that will probably just be the easy way to reference it. Though they don't have a terrible naming scheme like the xbox does.No one is expecting it to be called Switch 2.
Remember people calling the gen 8 Xbox the "Xbox 720?" Instead of just attaching numbers to names, just call it the successor. The only company to ever put ordered numbers in the name of their consoles for each successive release is Sony.No one is expecting it to be called Switch 2.
Today was the day, and guess what? Nothing.

It reset after it hit 0 earlier today. The timer says 15 hours left.
You can also pretend you're playing the Switch successor by emulating on PC.There is something you can do to make the time between Nintendo releases pass more quickly. It is called PC gaming.
Steam Deck FTW since it fulfills both mobile & PC with pretty good power for emulation. You can also pretend you're playing the Switch successor by emulating on PC.
I'm guessing now that the site was a fake.Today was the day, and guess what? Nothing.
This would be best and make most sense, but somehow I think they'll call it something stupid. Like Switch-ii or Switch+.I fully expect the console to be called the Super Nintendo Switch
Dual-switch!This would be best and make most sense, but somehow I think they'll call it something stupid. Like Switch-ii or Switch+.

The Switch U.This would be best and make most sense, but somehow I think they'll call it something stupid. Like Switch-ii or Switch+.
