The Lian Li Gallery

Ah, the ole model M. Many good memories of clickity clacking on those things! :)

Finished my CheckMate project, based around the Lian Li A05 chassis. If interested, the worklog is under, well, worklogs! :)

finished up my 1st ever build!

Based on PC-V1000B. Not current Lian Li model but when I was searching for case to buy I loved this case and found a new one for sale online.

Everything inside is sleeved with murdermod. Alot of custom length cables to tidy things up. I'll have to get some better pics soon.

I'm thinking I might replace the piece of aluminum between the upper and lower areas in the case. I can make an exact duplicate no problem and rivet it in so it looks completely factory. But I'll be able to eliminate the large hole for cables thats there from the factory.

That's a really nice tidy V1000B you have built. Velly nice. Did you cut the side window yourself? If yes very professional looking if no still looks pro! Like the vandal switch

SKULLEN,
I have to 2nd that those wheels look awesome in a goofy good way kind of skateboard looking.Who knows you have a P80 on a skateboard!
Is the gray side panel an acrylic panel or is it metal? I was thinking of doing the same on my P80 but with UV orange acrylic panel..
For a first build the quality is excellent more like a pro job...

Hi farcry 34,thanks for the reply, much appreciated.
The panel is metal and the window is clear acrylic with rounded and polished edges.
Thanks for looking :)

I looked at your worklog... I must say, great job... it really came out great.
I love the interior... classy.

I know I'm working on better cable management :) How did you route the fan control wire from the back to the front? Do you have a pic showing the back of your case?

An older shot, but you will get a idea (back then i had 6 HDD's and didn't had some cables fixed with adhesive tape etc etc). The point is routing the fan cable trough the hole above the bar with the thumbscrew, and the 8-pin power cable through those ventilation hoses behind CPU :

I can make a more recent photo if you need it.

@faugusztin, thanks for showing the other side of your case. I guess I haven't study my pc-v1110 in much detail. I didn't realize there as a hold to route the top io panel cable out to the side. I was wonder why those wires were so long and had no other place to go. Cool! After studying your picture I think I will need to reroute the fan control wire like you did :)

This is one of the few set-ups I have ever seen on this forum I would trade mine for.
Relatively tasteful and great gear. I would take down the computer box/packaging paraphernalia and lava lamp to minimize thing (but that is personal preference.)

Hot set-up, <3 the x500!

My new i7 rig... still working on uni-sleeving a Corsair HX1000 power supply. The current state of my cabling is only temporary. I need to cut into the case a little to make more room for all the wires.

I like the case feet a lot better than the wheels. I'll update the pics when I'm finished.

New Build - PC-A03B, I need to actually get in there and manage the wires. I got the case last week and was sick as a dog so I just wanted the computer inside.

Here is my server / media box in a PC71B. It is the exact same height as the entertainment center so it fits in really well. It's just a bit deeper than I'd like, but it's not a high traffic area.

^^ nice job fitting that Accelero Extreme in. Do you hear any of the 8 fans you have in this case?

Finally got around to finishing my case mod on my Lian Li V2000 +II case. Any suggestions on what i can do to help hide the rest of the cables?

Personally, what I would do is find a way to turn the HDD's around, route the cables from the back using zipties and cable tiedowns, maybe some PCI-E extensions so they can also be routed around the back. it'll make it much cleaner.

ive tried turning the HDD's around, but when i do, i can not connect anything due to the drives being right next to the back panel.

I have done this on V2000's and you have to remove the cages and re-drill them with them offset to the case window side so the cables will fit and leave clearance between the drives and back cover. Takes about an hour to do. It is worth the effort.

totally didnt think about doing that, thanks for the heads up. Do you have any pics of that after its been completed so i know how it should be?
