So, at this point is it worth getting? Bear in mind I'm more single player minded, I don't have that much time, I don't want lots of grinding, no silly long raids, won't join a guild, I rather have good story and combat mechanics that feel a little bit more meaty than point and click. Is it worth getting the GMG deal?
 
It has a decent enough story and even some public dungeons. It is a buy once and play whenever you want title now. I think it is worth it. Ask anyone in this thread at the beginning after launch, I despised the game. I detested it because it was so broken. But now? I think it's a solid MMO and well worth $12.

In short give it a try.
 
Just bought a copy for me and the wife. I bet we easily get $25 worth of playtime out of this.
 
Did they ever fix the problem with not being able to help a co-op buddy with a quest that you yourself had already completed? That was uber lame, and if I recall your co-op partner's character would turn invisible.
 
I figured I'd pull the trigger on the $12...

I had a friend on steam. I was able to get it, he was able to get it, but they were out of stock before I could get the wife and kids a version. So pretty bummed that 2 out of 4 of us were able to get in on ESO. I'm thinking of picking up 2 imperial editions for $27 for the wife and kid but that's starting to get spendy.
 
Well that's good the price went up. At 12 i probably would have bought it, but I really don't need to play an MMO
 
Sold out? No wonder this game is never on sale, they must limit sales to like 100 keys.
 
thanks for the info on the cost.. I paid 16.00 for it sure a lot better then 60.00 but dang.. 30gig?? boy my internet provider is gonna be pissed... oh well.. theyll just have to get over it.

Who's your ISP that 30GB is a problem?

50-60GB is starting to become pretty normal, particularly with both consoles using 50GB Blu's as their primary medium now. Hell, GTA V was 60GB.
 
Im with AT&A and everything is a problem with these guys.. even breathing... Ive just never done 30gigs at once.. Ill see if they have anything to complain about...

oh well, if we all had 1gig lines 50-60 gigs would be a snap.. sigh.. but living in a tiny town in middle of no where... 18megs is best I can get
 
I paid $12, and at this point I feel ripped off.

The game seems like it's going to be horrible all around. But that said I don't have a character over level 10. I started up 3 guys one for each faction and picked different classes to see which one I liked the most.

But so far the game is very generic, easy, and frankly its just a bunch of quest grinding. Nothing interesting about it at all.

I hope it gets better? Or is max level pretty much the same as level 10?

Ouch, I would move. Need at least 50mb or better, lol.

Havent even played this game, but how many MMO's do you know of that are the same at max level as they are at 10? o_O
 
Black Desert Online is going to be a better game then this along with 5 year old Blade and Soul

Charge you for socks, earrings, fingernail polish, horses, upgrading the horses, etc. I learned to stay far, far, away from F2P MMO's. There are just too many transaction fees to account for.
 
well, I played this a bit today... totally confused... then went through a door and there must have been 20/30 people in there and all they were doing was killing noobs like me... Just shook my head and left.
Guess this sale got lots of new people in and the kiddies have to play..

I pretty much feel the same way. Other than a similar coat of paint the underlying systems pale in comparison to a real ES game. The graphics at max settings are somewhere between Morrowind and Oblivion (closer to Morrowind).

One of the first quests in the game as a Dark Elf you're told to follow some guy across town during a siege. Halfway through he stops and yells, "When is this bombardment going to end"? Nothing was happening or happened and he just took off running again. Later in the quest you had to go down to the beach and burn some siege equipment. The mobs didn't attack me nor was the equipment even doing anything; I just walked to each trebuchet, hit 'F', and continued on my way. Couple that with quest givers saying stuff like, "You're our secret weapon and the only one that can complete this task" and then going to do the task only to find 20 people running around doing the same thing/camping the same mobs and the game so far is laughably bad.
 
Stay away from this mmo. This mmo is terrible. Sadly I payed 60 bucks for this pos when launched like a total idiot sucker.
 
Im starting to understand this game. A little. Ive never played a mmo (I know not a good choice I hear for first mmo) before, so, going to go slow and see what I can see. It is purty though.

I just started Elder Scrolls Tamriel about a month ago and like the game a lot. It would be nice to have some people to do dungeons with
 
I feel like an idiot.

Do I need to be veteran rank 16 to do the Imperial City DLC? I'm only VR 1 and I get into the arena and see nothing but VR 16 Daedra....
