Good point Jodiuh. The screen on my daughter's iPod Touch is larger than the screen on my Droid. Still I think the 4.3" or 4.4" (depending on the source) screen on the Droid X will be a nice improvement. If not, I have 30 days to return it.
Not sure if this was already posted. Here's Engadget's preview of the Droid X. Scroll down to the videos. Looks like it's running Froyo 2.2.
All reports/previews are claiming that current Droid X's in the wild are running on 2.1 with Ninjablur. Though I suspect that the Droid X will be extremely popular and I doubt we'd have to wait long for 2.2, assuming it doesn't ship with the device.
That home screen looks like Froyo to me.
: We confirmed that the Droid X was running Android 2.1 with some new sort of Motoblur (perhaps Ninjablur) skin.
That home screen looks like Froyo to me.
The latest video on the Droid 2 mentions an expected August release date...
We'll find out in two days. I'm still hoping for a surprise front facing camera.
That home screen looks like Froyo to me.
My question is, am I misunderstanding engadget and some of the other web sites that are reporting on this new phone. It really does sound to me like it could come out the 23rd.
Press conference was today, nothing new exciting announced
It is laughable how many leaks we've seen from this phone. It's like VZW/Moto doesn't even care anymore, haha.
I like it too, every day I wake up to a new viewing angle. They should give out one spec per day, hehe.
As spoken by a flaming Apple fanboy.![]()
So you've got 'rabid fanboy' and 'general piece of shit human being' nailed down. Nice for you.
Anyway, July 15 here we come
Lol, my 30 day Incredible return period ends July 8. Oh well, I'm happy with the Incredible anyway, I don't see anything on the Droid X that makes me feel like I'm really missing out and should switch.
Im not even a remote Apple fanboy.Microsoft all the way.
iPhone is a damn good phone though, they got one thing right at least.
I returned my Incredible as well, but on the last possible day to return it.I returned my Incredible a week after release in anticipation of this mysterious "Shadow" w/ it's 4.3" screen. IMO, the 3.7" on the Incredible just wasn't enough. Now that we have confirmation of the 1Ghz OMAP, I'm pretty excited about this. It's also got a noise cancellation mic that the Incredible's missing, comes w/ a 16GB vs a 2GB SD card, a multitouch keyboard, a screen I can actually SEE in the Arizona sun, a 1570mah vs 1300mah battery, and the body's made of metal instead of plastic.
Goodbye AT&T.
Hello Verizon.
