The Division 2

I still can't get over the difference (for me) in difficulty going from 30 into WT1.
 
We have two opening in the Clan right now. I've had an invite out to dvsman for about a week now with no response. If I do not hear from him in the next couple days I'll move on to the next person. If you are waiting to get in PLEASE PM ME. I have a dozen applications waiting on approval, and do not want to fill a spot that could be given to a Forum Member. I will give it another couple days before approving / denying anyone.

I have about given up on my AR healing build. It just is not effective for killing stuff. The fights seem to drag on and on. Much of the build centers around AR and SMG weapons. Just switching to a rifle, wth no other changes, made thngs faster. Some youtubers are suggesting going max damage and ditching everything else.

Doesnt matter, stilk crashes. Tried everything people seem to come up with.

Nothing else crashes. It doesnt even give an error message, nithing in event log either just closes up. Ubi doesnt let you see the crash report so i have clue what is happening.

Tempted to use visual studio to attavh a debugger to the exe and see. Bet easy cheat flips some shit though.

Are you OC'ing? You might have an unstable GPU OC that's causing it to CTD. The Division 2 could be that one game that's putting your shit over the edge.

More or less how frequent is the crashing and does it happen at complete random? In other words: It's not even remotely predictable where you know if you do something specific in the game it crashes?

Sorry if any repeats here: Disable Uplay overlay. If you're using Steam, disable its overlay and/or close it. Any overlays...any third party anything...lose it.

can be 5 minutes, 30 min, 60 min. its random, Overlay is disabled.

There does seem to be a lot of crashes though as the game 'begins' a mission of some sort. its like all the AI wakes up and boom. crash.

My experience has been that it will crash a couple of times after the first few minutes after I start the game, then no problems. It's quite random for me too.

Yeah I watched the Mtashed video on that today. He makes a pretty good point about armor and health being paper thin regardless of your build.
 
I'm experiencing crashes to the desktop but its so random. One day I'll play for 4 hours with no issues at all. Another it will crash multiple times. I have temp monitoring and both my CPU and GPU are at around 60c while playing so my crashes are not heat related.

I am in the same boat. I had 8 crash reports in the last 4 hours of game play. 4K doesn't like to run unless its in an all pink screen. The pink screen in 4k has been happening since the Beta. Random crashes right when a fire fight breaks out is quite annoying. Been at 1080p and it still crashes. Looked good with HDR on, on my projector. Turned it off, didn't make a bit of difference.Tried it on the OLED screen too, same stutter to crash bullshit. Tried last 3 drivers. Same shit. My 1080 Ti has been downclocking too boot. Usually runs solid at 2025Mhz without me overclocking anything. In this game, down to 1556Mhz.* Tried cranking fan speed up thinking it might be it. Nope.
Really wish they would just use the Unreal Engine. Their own sucks ass as it did on release with Division 1. That was a two month nightmare. Patch Patch patch...... Snowdrop sucks.

I was having the horrible stutters/crashes and gave it a shot and it's resolved them almost completely. I still have the crashes on my laptop, but I'm chalking that up to a cranky 960m that just can't keep up. :D

And lesson learned this morning. Don't change recap control points after a world tier change until 24 hours since you last looted... free loots just gone since I had cleared them out yesterday. Good news is I'm finally to WT1 after taking more than my fair share of time during the initial run up. Now on to killing robo-dogs.

This is a pretty crappy screenshot (wouldn't let me move the camera down), but it's the first time I've had a full HardOCP squad. This is (from left to right) @wetdogbreath, jiminator, Myself and Crispy002 farming T3 Control Points over the weekend. Had a blast, can't wait to do it again! Neobattledroid joined us later, but he was level 29 so it was not so fun for him. He & I power leveled him to WT4 last night, so he won't be so squishy next time.

I will get more familiar with Photo Mode in this game, and after WT5 drops we will have to do this again. Only while everyone is mid emote or something. Maybe we can all play Rock, Paper, Scissors.

I finally jumped in earlier today with a couple of OCP people and it was great. I think what I'm going to do is start looking more on the clan list and just start randomly jumping in on people. I'll be like a bad penny... you'll never know where or when I turn up. ;)
 
I'm not really a PvP'er, so I haven't really sunk much energy into the "Life Stealer" build Widdz posted that so many seem to be chasing right now. And WT5 will likely change a lot of this, so, reason #2 not to get run over by the Meta train. So this video made me lol and nod my head a little.



I use a P416 AR with Breadbasket, Aleggro & Rooted most of the time. My backup is an M60 E6 LMG, but I keep a Mk17 Rifle & T821 SMG around for appropriate situations. All of these wreck things sufficiently enough for me. I'll put some more thought and effort into a build after WT5, but I haven't fallen into any one rut yet, and I'm fine with that.

there is no more shd tech after you upgraded everything. you will get all except 5 through searching and some missions. the last 5 come from hidden areas.

Yeah, there's four (five?) unmarked in the White House area. There's also a missible one in a side mission on the SE side of Downtown West (though you can replay the mission with a random or get a bounty in the area to get at it).

When I hit WT5 I need to deal with the rest of those SHDs and I also need to look over that video and find those hidden safe houses. I will be doing some tidying and cleaning up.
 
So we completed WT1 last night and moved to WT2. Man i have to admit i really like how they changed up the missions once you hit WT stage. I enjoy it even more so and the game takes a huge turn when you complete the main story and how the environment is much more intense.

Going up... you can ride the wave if you keep up with gear and such but there's no way around this for me: This game is tough and my soloing has diminished quite a bit.

Best part is, gear seems to drop like crazy so it doesn't seem that hard to keep up with the required gear score. Coming out of a mission and needed to gear up, i hit two control points and the drops increased my overall pretty significantly.

Man, I really really miss DIM like i have with Destiny. Keeping track of all this gear is even worse in this game and we have no 3rd party tool to make it easier.

Yea 2 of my friends from work and I do the missions together, we have a pretty good team and we take it as it comes. We pretty much soloed most of the leveling to 30 but once the world tier hit we run stuff together.

I have to agree with you completely on this. The interface is not that great. They took a step back from Div 1 in my opinion. The double click / " F " is confusing to me, its rather clunky.

Agreed.

Yes, Destiny 2 and DIM especially have spoiled me in these regards and the developers for this really need to consider making some broad moves more in this sort of direction.
