Highest level tf2 has gotten before is around 30,00-40,000.
It seems people love the update, when you count the weapons and maps, and not the shitty unlock system...
Then I am man enough to admit my mistake. My apologies for mis-understanding.
I don't get it, I play A LOT of TF2 yet I haven't received any additional achievements since the update came out. I've earned over 50% of the sniper goals and have just played normally waiting for these random drop unlocks to appear but I haven't gotten a damn thing? I only have one of each of the unlocks I earned the "hard way" before the new unlock system went live...
Is there something else I need to be doing? *scratches head*![]()
Be luckier unless you're playing on a non-VAC server.
what does playing on a VAC server have to do with it?
thats a real question.... do non-VACs not give out weapons?
I love this bow, but it has got to be nerfed soon. Way too powerful- 2 shots takes down a lvl 3 sentry.
Valve will either decrease its power or, more likely, increase reload time.
K So my longest stretch so far without items is 13 hours. And at the end of it I got the bonk drink thing....... not amused.

I don't understand what people hate so much about finding these items randomly? So what as you play you'll pick them up. When BF2 came out folks were outraged that they had to earn the weapons. What is with it not wanting to unlock things this is a tried and true video game method. Most of these weapons aren't game changers anyway. I found like 6 different items this weekend.

The spy watches can COMPLETELY change the way you play as a spy. The cloak and dagger can damn near give you domain over an area until you finally piss them off enough for the entire team to go pyro and smoke your ass.
And the Dead Ringer. Not being able to initiate cloak unless damaged forces you to actually blend in and cycle disguises. That is, atleast until the enemy team catches on and starts patrolling an area until they they see TWO dead spy bodies. That can also work out for you though by simply disguising as your team when you're transitioning from cover. The DR forces you to change your disguise alot and it definately helps if you know where the hiding spots in a map are because the cloak doesn't last long at all.
Can't really comment on the sniper unlocks though, I have no experience with em since THEY WON'T DROP FOR ME!Well cept the jarate but who'd give up their SMG for that?
i don't understand the sniper's bow. its to be able to kill on the move, correct? but now that we have a cross hair on the sniper rifle when not zoomed in, then we're now able to use the sniper rifle while moving around not zoomed, so I don't get the point of the bow.
The point is to make a sniper more agile, and move closer to the front line of battle. With a bow and arrow, you aim, shoot, while moving. You can dart in and out of corners easily. Arrows are harder to hit targets, but you yourself are also harder to hit.
And most characters who surprise you can easily be killed close up.
I also wouldn't mind seeing it disable sappers temporarily. Be fun to watch the spy sap it, backstab the engineer, jar of piss hits in the sentry and then it kills the yellow stained spy.

Jarate is good. Really good. Aside from increasing damage done, which really helps if a heavy or something is hitting them, it also does:
- Puts out fires, yourself included. Nice if you get hit with a flare gun, or if an ally is about to die.
- Fucks around with the enemy's vision. It may just be the free weekend, but lots of people tend to freak out and get themselves killed due to it.
- Regenerates. Self-explanatory.
I like it a lot more than SMG. SMG damage is horrible, it's practically useless now that we have no-scope headshots.
The other sniper unlocks basically suck IMO. I cannot aim for shit with the huntsman, and the razorback is useless because enemy spies can see it.
