Forgot to mention that Sharka has the Titan, Blue, Black, and Silver color Aquatubes in stock. There is enough of those on the shelves to build 40 computers or if your an A-C nerd like me then only maybe 20 computers. ;)
 
Quick question for a noob to wc. How much noise(if any) do ac components make? Such as the aqua stream eheim? The pump would be the only part to generate noise correct(besides the fans).

I'm just curious because I dont want my pc sounding like a fish tank.

Well unless you add an air pump and some bubbling water it is almost dead silent except when you first start it up due to air being in the line. Now if you were to add a water window with bubbles that would be cool and perhaps just a bit noisy like your aquarium :D

Instead of setting up the above, why not try a Zalman resevator and save the load on your power supply? You just have to make sure the fitting diameter fits btwn. the zalman and the A-C stuff.

If you have 2 Quadro or 2 x 6800 Ultra, and say you have the bridge connected.

1) Will the short distance in between the gap of the 2 cards be thick enough for the:

after you remove the original fan? The aqua grafx seems thicker. Obviously putting in the 2nd card wouldn't be a problem, but what about putting the cooling part in the 1st card, will the gap be wide enough?

2) As you can see from this diagram, the part when the bridge of the two 6800 Ultra:

I'm planning a WC rig for my new parts and I really like the look of the AC stuff. I'm hoping to swap out the 1/8" P&C fittings with 1/4" compression fittings, mainly to facilitate a higher flow. As I understand it, I can do this with most (if not all) of the parts. That still leaves a few questions:

- What are my options for cooling the northbridge on a DFI Lanparty NF4? For those who don't have one, the top graphics slot overhangs the NB cooler, so any waterblock would have to be extreme low-profile. I've only found one such block from Koolance, but I'm looking for more suggestions.
- I have a 6600GT, and none of the chip + memory coolers I've seen will fit it except for one that doesn't seem to be available in North America. So I'm trying to find one that will fit just the chipset, and there are no indications of what blocks will fit what cards. Are they all standard or is there something I'm not seeing?

EDIT: Also, sale prices on non-AC gear at Sharka & finally getting 1/8" -> 8mm compression fittings = :D

AlphaCool makes a northbridge for the SLI boards and hope to get some on the next Sharka order.

AC sells it in white too but you can use every 5mm LED you want (don't forgert to use a resistor).

I burned up two 5volt LED's yesterday messing with mine. You should use a 220ohm resistor if memory serves me right. I will be messing with this today in order to make my aquatube in the AT bay turn red when it reaches a certain temp and stay white when normal.

You will need to connect it to a fan type connector so it will plug into the Aquaero. My suggestion is to order two LED's and take advantage of the capablitlites. According to the manual, there are two VCC headers (LED 1 and 2 positive) and a common ground for both LED outputs. I have mine running on one LED until I can go by Fry's today and get another one.

I bought a red 5mm LED from Radio Shack and was planning to use it as a second LED in my Aquatube.i want to hook it up to the mobo's HD LED connector.

Should work right from the board right?

No way. I just don't see it happening.

You screw the post in first, nut side down? That means the block slides over the posts and moves freely, which makes sense.

Now a nylon washer, then a spring, then another nylon washer then you compress the #($@#$) outta the spring WHILE turning the nut????

Either this is as difficult as it sounds/looks or I'm missing something VERY fundamental.

There is no way I can exert enough pressure on the spring to compress it down enough to allow me to turn the nut (circular thingie) on to the top of the post.

I even tried constructing the spring mechanism first and then pushing it down while screwing it into the motherboard backplate.

Someone give me a clue cause at this rate, either my core is gonna crack or my window when I throw my machine out it (ok, I'm not really the type to throw things but still...).
 
If you do that with it in the case you will probably break something. Take MB out of case and put it on top of something hard. Hold down block with one hand and press hard and twist with other hand. Repeat for opposite side. Yes it is a piss poor method, but unless you have a better idea that's the way it is. I can much more appreciate the Koolance method now. :D

I would check the output of the Aquaero with a DVM before you do that. ;)

220 ohms is for 6 volts! 680 ohms is for 12 volts A 1/2 watt resistor should be fine :D

Depends entirely on what particular part you are talking about. Please be specific. :)

What particular cooler isn't available here in the states? I use A-C Twinplex's on my Asus EN6600 GT's.

How about you put the Aquastream pump in front of the PSU on the bottom. Put the Aquatube in the area where the "Green" is hanging down into the PSU area?

Or you could take out that dummaflotchee that supposedly is there to hold the PCI cards in and put the Aquatube in the area where that small elongated slot is above the PSU area. That way you could also attach a 160 rad above the PSU like mine is being done. :D

well, I'm glad I'm wrong on this one. Near the edge of the machine, it looks like one tube is connecting two hose together. But that's not possible because the water has to go somewhere. Is it just the camera angle?

I'm not sure how much of a flow increase the 8mm tubing will give over the 6mm. All of the 1/8" threads will still be a limiting factor, as will the low flow of the Eheim 1046 based pump.

For the DFI chipset, you'll need a low profile block. I do knw there are some being made, but i don't know if they're available in the US. Check here: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Mips/DFIFreezer/

You need a Twinplex (they should have mounts for everything). If you want a native 1/4" block for the 6600 that cools both the memory and the core, Innovatek makes one (for PCI-E) and it's available at Frozen CPU (http://www.frozencpu.com/ex-blc-181.html). What you are seeing is a tube that goes from one GPU cooler to the next GPU cooler

The Aqua Computer TwinPlex fits just fine on an Asus EN6600 GT. I used the GF4 mounting screen, but you can also use the CHIP screen. See below:

Whatever you do, don't buy the Innovatek Graph-O-Matic unless it's a version 2 or 3. The first ones have nothing on them to stimulate turbulance, so water simply goes in, sits in the cooler, then leaves (the AC ones have a pathway, Alphacool ones have pins, Cape's blocks have a pathway around a copper slug, newer Innovatek ones have an X shaped base pattern), offering terrible cooling performance. The mounting screen for the block to fit on the 6600 should be the same one for the GeForceFX series. The stock mounting found on the Graph-O-Matics will fit a GeForce4/FX/6600 and most nVidia cards, except the 6800. It will also fit most, if not all, ATI cards.

Innovatek expects you to buy a full card block if you want your 6800 cooled, or that's how it seems since they don't offer mounting support for the Graph-O-Matics.

I'm in Canada, and the only 6600GT cooler that does both the chip and memory is $130 US. Since I'm more concerned with cutting noise than increasing performance, that's way too high.

All of them. Sharka is now stocking 1/8" BSPP -> 8x1mm compression fittings. It's like they knew what I was thinking...
 
Can someone post a link to instructions for the cuplex xt, I lost the link that showed the exact way to set it up.

What do you want to know? BTW, make sure you take it apart and clean the inside with alcohol (not the plexiglass) to get all the green gunk out. Blow canned or compressed ait through nozzles as well.

Seriously though, I want to start getting together the parts I'm going to need to do a Crossfire system.

Am I going to need 2 loops?

Will I have to use more than a dual 120 (or approx. sized heatercore).

I'm going to have to cool:

1 Athlon CPU (1 Cuplex XT)
2 ATI 850's (2 Aquagrati 800)
1 Northbridge (1 Twinplex)

I'm hoping to overclock pretty hard too.
 
I think the right way is probably going to be two loops or your GPU's will heat up everything else. I have been thinking about three loops just because if I don't I have to add my HDD coolers somewhere and I think they will kill the flow through the Koolance Hydra-Pak's. I think GPU and CPU on first, GPU's on 2nd, and another one for HD coolers.

Seems it was deleted after someone posted there that SNT was being investigated by "higher-ups." I got my Cuplex XT, tubing and additional fans from Sharka yesterday, although they didn't send my Plug and Cool Fittings for my rad for some reason :( and noone has responded to my email inquiring the whereabouts of the missing parts (is Wes still on vacation?). I finished all the modding on my V2100 and was hoping to get the system up and running this weekend.

I have to say the Cuplex XT is much heavier than I expected, nice looking block too :D . I really like the Plug and Cool fittings now that I've played around with them, they seem really secure. They are definitely less of a pain in the ass than my current 1/2" barbed setup. I'll try and post some pics of my newbie Dremel work once I get home from work tonight. I ended up taking Top Nurse's advice and mounted the EVO 240 on the existing 120mm exhaust hole and cut away part of the middle divider to extend it to just above the power supply.
 
Wes is back, because I spoke with him yesterday.

Sharka ships fast i tellya, they told me they shipped everything except the 2 AC blocks... guess ill find out on monday
