So, who's thinking about Borderlands?

I'll wait and see if the reviews are positive. I'm really unsure about the graphical style and the gameplay mechanics.
 
I'm very excited about this game. However, between finishing Risen and starting Dragon Age I'm afraid I might not have much time for Borderlands until after the holidays.

At the very least the game will see exclusive play when my buddies come over to lan.
 
Oh yeah, I'm thinking about it. One of my most anticipated titles for 2009. :)
 
I am almost certain to pick this up. The game looks like a lootfest which is what I like.
 
Considering it myself. The per unit cost of the 4 pack would make it a done deal, but I don't know 3 other people that are interested in it.
 
There're plenty of people on this thread that want people for the 4 pack discount. Maybe PM them or start a thread in Hot Deals specifically for finding people that want to find others for the 4 pack. Perhaps ask one of the mods if this is ok.

I wanted to do the same after finding 3 other people in this thread, but I figured someone would have made a thread by now. :D

I will make one closer to November for L4D2.
 
So I assume payment has to work out to one person buying it, and then having the 3 others reimburse him? Sounds like something I'd only do with close friends. Shit, even with a couple of my friends it would be like pulling teeth getting them to pay me back.

I wish Steam could implement a way to charge each person's account the $33.

you have to send the money as a paypal gift that way you don't get fees taken out
 
Doesn't steam also let you pay using PayPal as well? So you wouldn't have to wait 3 days to transfer the money to a bank account then paying with your debit card.
 
no the people buying the other 3 gift copies off the guy that paid for the 4 pak bundle

you need to pay that dude with paypal gift payments so he does not get fees taken out of his payments

because if 3 people send him paypayments of 33.74 he will loose about a $1.20 on each payment
 
I am saying, once the 3 other people gift the person $33.74 he would have to then pay for it... usually you would have to transfer the funds from your PayPal to your bank account to in order to purchase something if the etailer doesn't accept PayPal. But, if I am right, Steam accepts PayPal payments... meaning you wouldn't have to transfer funds to your bank account thus elimating the 3-5 day transfer period. But I think you still need a paypal debit card...
 
yea obviously he can pay with funs in his paypal account

the 3 people buying their copies need to gift the funds or pay non cc paypal
 
That was a question that I am asking. Because I personally wouldn't want to gift a guy the payment and have to wait a couple days for him to transfer the money and then he'll be able to buy it.. get it? I was adding onto what you said already...
 
From my understanding random strangers can't grief you directly as you have to strike them back inorder to start the duel. If you don't you won't take any damage or have any of that kind of distraction. I am hoping they implemented some way of dealing with a party spoiler by the host being able to kick the person.

I'm unsure as I've not run into this before, but perhaps it wouldn't be a violation of the rules if those willing to buy gift packs put a thread in the FS/WTB forum, selling 3 copies of Borderlands at the discounted price? Ideally, perhaps a mod could weigh in on this? Steam offering 4 packs at what comes out to be a discount to each individual buyer is something new, and is obviously designed as "split purchases" or whathaveyou.

Haha, I recall reading that the Administrators just stated that we can't talk and get together on group buys on the forums; but it's possible via PM's :D

I can't wait to get into the game, but I have class that day, so no midnight premiere gaming for me (GodDAMNit)

The game was officially delayed to the 26th on PC. Some stores just haven't updated their websites yet.

Source? Really official?

I've read that the 26th may just be speculation to drive up hype and that the game is still on track for the 20th.
