Show Your LCD(s) setups!!!

LOL wow everybody.. some of you responded worse than my own girlfriend.. even she jokingly said, " you should put another one on the shelf above the two big ones"

anyways.. the new 30 incher replaced the 2 twenties.. they are probably going to be sold off or I will give them to a friend or relative...

I was just playing around with toys last night.. as I am sure some of you tend to do here.. and wanted to post a pic of my goofiness.. sorry to offend those of you who can't look at something ridiculous and laugh as I did

and the desk is built into the house.. it doesn't change or move in any way, shape or form.. thanks for the ideas those who gave me constructive criticism.. but the real setup is the two 30s... I might keep the extras on the side just for fun for a little while.. but how can they seriously be utilized?

Looks good man, I love it. (Of course it needs a bit a of tweaking. I was curious though, what video card are you using to drive both of those monitors?

a 9800gtx for the two big ones and a 9600gt for the small ones..
its not the gaming rig. its the work rig, the other pc you see sitting sideways it hooked up to a 32 inch 1080p sony LCD and there are a couple gtx 280s in there

Get a larger desk and keep all 4 :D

wow. nice job reading his post about how the desk is built right in lol :p. i can't imagine trying to fill up 2 30 inch monitors plus 2 20 inch monitors... its not hte neck strain but the what do i put up on it lol

Urban myth. Even if the sub was unshielded (which I highly doubt, as the Z5500 are a half-decent speaker set) the magnet on the back of the driver isn't even nearly powerful enough to risk data loss on a hard disk. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if the magnets *inside* the hard disk subject the platters to a higher flux.

It's true, the magnets inside the hard drive do more than a Magnet in a sub can.

Hey, any chance you can figure out some arms to set them up like this?:

BTW, thanks for posting. Now I know what it would look like if I bought another 3007 ;-)

I have been considering getting a 37" 1080p TV like this:

No offense but those monitors dont fit that desk. Not only in size but because of the size it kind of makes that great looking office space look kind of fugly. Great stuff just wrong setup.

Agree. Would look clean as hell with 2x 30's on a more simple desk imo. Or maybe if he pops them off their stands and pushes them straight back to fit under the cabinets, could make it look pretty good

Hey Oliver, welcome to Hard forum then. You've got a nice setup :)

Is it 2 19" and one 22" ? :D

Oliver....excellent setup. I enjoy the symmetry as far as the dells go. Where did you find that excellent desk? I've been looking for a good corner/L-shaped desk

Hey alkaline, that was a custom setup, made by a company that makes everything in steel.

Tanks!

incredable setup!

makes me want to get a few more 22's as well lol

great looking desk! I was thinking of getting a custom one made as well, but realized very quickly that its not feasible for me, especially on a students income lol

I drooled. I couldn't even explain it at first it's just so... perfect! Great setup ;)

Agreed! Very, very nice and very clean looking. Definitely one of the best if not the best that I have ever seen on this forum in all the time that I have been on this forum! Saving a pic of your setup for reference in the future!

feo, i live in Brazil!

Very nice setup. I am working on something similar but the hutch on my current desk makes it incompatible with my plans. I still want the storage area so I had planned on doing pretty much what you have done (only in black).

I've been looking for something a lot like what you've accomplished. Mind if I ask what desk that is and where you picked up the shelving units above it? Given the wall behind it I'm guessing it is all custom. If not a link would be great, thanks in advance.
