Just got my 2408WFP A01 yesterday. It kicks fucking ass

My brother broke my desk...so now I'm stuck on a table for a bit. :p

3x2007fp's. Now all A05 HN210 IPS dispalys. :D

Nice, I'm thinking about grabbing two more 19"WS and running a triple setup myself. I've found just a dual setup to be nice.

^^You know, as horrible as it sounds, once you go 3...going back to 2 just sucks. :p

I said the same thing about dualies...and I was going to go to 5 wide but decided to break the habit. Sold my 4th in FS/FT a few days ago to remove the temptation. :D

3 isnt really overkill these days. perhaps for a monitor, but not for A TV.
Overkill is indeed good when it comes to monitor/tv inputs :D

1.) HDTV Cable/Satellite Box
2+)Ps3/Xbox 360/Stand alone Blu-ray player/Up converting DVD player/HTPC

If you have an HDMI receiver, then maybe it would be overkill, but those are expensive, most people who already had a high end audio setup for dvds will just route an optical or coax cable from the tv to the receiver and use the tv for the multiple inputs.

Now a days you can buy camcorders with HDMI ports as well, which would make an easily accesible 3rd, 4th, etc. port highly desirable.
Omega, thnx for the info & opinion. 2 hdmi would be plenty for me. Right now I don't have a PS3 or Xbox 360, I'll get a X360 in due time, maybe for X-mas, we'll see. I doubt it though, working on upgrading someone's PC & such.

For a PC monitor, I'd just want @ least 2 inputs, DVI and vga or another dvi port. For a TV I'd like @ least 2 component, 1-2 composite, s-video, and 1+ hdmi. (For my budget, a 32" Olevia looks good, but I'm not looking for any new TV for a few weeks or more). thnx.

rei1574, that Dell looks good. :)

I'm kinda considering replacing my 30" Gateway with two of those new Dell 2309 LCDs. I just love all that screen real estate packed into a small frame. It would be awfully tough to part with my Gateway, tho.

Moved them around. I saw another [H] members desk who's was just like mine, and i really loved how he had his. So, here is mine

small 15in on the left is running Linux mint w/ fluxbox, and the other 2 are vista

What desk is this? Doesn't look like a standard desk that IKEA is selling at the moment. Where'd 'ya get it?

Nevermind...I just figured out you're in Korea. That' means I'll never have that desk :(

Sorry man.

I feel bad now.. hha. I might just stop posting my stuff >.^

Put the new Sony 40" in a few weeks ago, came with a free PS3 from Sony so i couldn't pass up on the deal. Blu-ray and HD footage never looked so good...

Does anyone have any idea what desk this is? Or know of one similar? This is perfect.

I see alot of people have the logitech 5500 speakers with the computers next to the sub. Didn't the manual caution about placing harddrives close to the subs? Any problems yet? Just wondering.

as long as you keep it a few feet away and have the case panels on, i think you'll be ok.

Urban myth. Even if the sub was unshielded (which I highly doubt, as the Z5500 are a half-decent speaker set) the magnet on the back of the driver isn't even nearly powerful enough to risk data loss on a hard disk. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if the magnets *inside* the hard disk subject the platters to a higher flux.

Whoa really, I had to move everything to keep the subwoofer "12 inches" away from my computer. Maybe I can get it organized the way it was back before...

Damn hows the reviews on that monitor?

I love it. My friend got the 1920x1080p model but it doesn't have an hdmi port.

I love this one huge resolution and everything looks great. Building a new comp. Gotta get the pc powdercoated next week. Murdered Out PC-A05B. Will have to try some blue rays on this bad boy. ;)

Does it have a DVI port DVI is equal to the video quality to HDMI granted no sound but thats what speakers are for :D

I would use the vga for comp as i have played with both dvi and vga and can barely tell the different a mm away

Hope this helps

what does everybody use their setups for..... i see tons of people with setups that make me drool, and then i look at their mouse and they are using a 5 dollar browsing mouse.... so just wondering what the people who don't play games are using these setups for... i mean, you can get a high dpi mouse for like 20 bucks and yet people use trackballs or crappy microsoft mouses (mice?) instead. Not saying there is anything wrong with it I'm just wondering what they do on their computers that requires such space. thanks!

Well I prefer my MS Laser mouse on my laptop to my G5 because it's more comfortable for browsing and other stuff like that, and I have a trackball for my desktop because it's nicer to use for content creation, I.E. TurboCAD, the random google sketchup drawing, TES:CS Oblivion, etc.

Well high resolution screens and lots of screens can be used for: Trading (stocks), photo editing, video editing, content creation (from Photoshop to Maya, etc), just plain old internet browsing, people who do more than one of the above at the same time. There are lots of possibilities for needing that much space. Me I prefer gaming, internet (I mega-task), content creation and photography.

finally finished my LCD rig

found another white desk so the iMac doesn't need to rest on a box lol

May I suggest one thing you may like better? Your left desk take the front right corner and the right desk's front left corner and connect them. that will leave an open area in the corner. then place black sub in corner. Perhaps both if it looks and sounds good. Never tried aiming a sub up either (depends on cords  ) This will give your TV a lil more room and hide the HDMI cable a lil more too.

I myself just bought a Sony BDP-S350 and get to open it on XMAS as a present to myself. I'm not sure which screen you will be hooking your Blu-ray player to so here are some ideas.

-If you plan to hook it to your OLED display right below keyboard would be great spot. (Remember if no HDMI port get a DVI to HDMI adaptor cable as the video quality will be the same:D

-If you hook it to your Samsung TV place it under your Mac as this will raise up screen almost to same height as TV for a smooth look.

Don't get me wrong on what you have done, it looks great :D Now all you need is some stuff on the wall LOL

For Audio/Video reviews on Blu-rays check out

wow, grizzlybrett, thanks for taking the time to make all those suggestions!

i have all of today off so will be tinkering around, will definitely look into some of those points, thanks again!

Trageta: hahaha, that is the first thing everyone always says.... the lamp is down there for a very ghetto but cool backlight effect lol, it is hard to show in photo but at night, it looks cool

AthlonXP: i love it to death, 2.53Ghz glass Macbook Pro... amusingly fastest, most powerful computer i have ever owned lol... hooked up to the 24" LED display, it is as good as any desktop i've used to date, a real beast

heh, i am assuming you're making a dig against Macs?

i don't do heavy photo or video work so... a 2.53Ghz C2D w/ 4GB of DDR3 RAM is more than enuff for me... it really is a fast machine, not sure if you're used one

Crappy, put together of my desk
Had to move my Hannspree to the other side of my desk so my head could be in the middle of the screen rather than slightly looking up at it.

Lenovo ThinkPad T61 7664-16U : 1440x900 TN (blegh bah)
Samsung 204Ts S-PVA 1600x1200: too much inputlag, was my first desktop LCD, now rarely used on dockingstation
Dell 2007FP S-IPS 1600x1200x2 (yeah!!! :D)

The big blue case is a Chieftec CA-01-BL-BL-B, what is a fantastic, no-bullshit, bigtower.

Wishlist: Dell 3007WFP-HC to put in between the two 2007FP (portrait)

No that is not a bong I swear. It's a..... vase, yeah a vase I just need to get some more..uh "flowers" to go back in it.:D

I like how it matches your Xbox face plate.

That Vase was one of my first pieces, 6~7 years old I think now. The downspout's been removed though, this one piece has been retired as better ones have taken its place.

I absolutely love it, I WILL buy another one when I get a bigger desk as it would be perfect display for my gateway fx lappy.
