you should really get an iPod dock and use the line-out. Headphone jack is horrible for hooking up to a receiver.

hey, what is your resolution per monitor? I have a similar video card and running at 2 x 20" LCD, my 6600GT w/ 256 MB of RAM only run at 1280x1024x32 bit.

Can you do 1600x1200x32 bit per monitor?

holy shit man, i just picked up the same gateway monitor 2 weeks ago and bought the sony dvd player last night!!
and i also watched saving private ryan hooked up with component. the quality sucked campared to digital but that was to be expected. but for being a computer monitor, it handled the dvd player quite nicely, i was thoroughly impressed. i will eventually hook it up with the digital connection.

but there lies a problem with that. my pc is using the dvi port and there is only one. does any one know a way to hook up 2 dvi sources to one dvi port? ive been researching this and ive found dvi spitter cables. dont know if they would work though. i know they make a dvi switch but those start at 250.
any help on this would be much appreciated.

Sure can! I'm running them at that resolution on a 256MB XFX 6800GT with dual DVI ports

As far as I know, they're on the upper end of NEC's business LCD model line back in early 2005

It was a super long time ago, probably 7 or 8 years from Staples I think. I don't have a part number or anything, and I doubt they sell it anymore. Sorry.

And AlmostEvil, monitor's great eh? I love it. I got mine in July and don't know how I ever did without a widescreen lcd.
 
Updated my desktop wallpaper, had to show off :p Been looking for some good widescreen wallpaper to span two screens, finally found this image on NASA's website, and edited it to fit my screens.

Ninty - yes i love it. this replaced 2 19" lcd's and i would not go back to them now.:D

here is mine while i wait for my dual Gateway 21.1 widers
and yes al the stuff is shuved in that case i modified it a bit the actual case for that benzel is btx so i got last years verison of that case which is atx and slaped that benzel on it

just got everyting installed and ready to go in the desktop...now I just have to wait till wednesday when XP arrives.

staring at this blank monitor all day is killing me!

i guess i could...but all i'm really doing now is browsing the internet and word stuff.
the lcd is for gaming, which won't happen till the desktop is up and running.

plus i don't want to deprive myself the pleasure of seeing the lcd boot up for the first time with the new desktop :D

I have that case in white - it's ace for the money, cooled my comp by 20 degrees celsius... when i build a new comp i'll probably get that black one :)
 
yeah, i couldn't be happier with it.

i was going to get the one with a window, but i love the side vents. having a fan that blows directly onto the video card is always nice.
 
My old case had a window and lights and stuff - but it was too big so i opted for a nice looking smaller case. its on page 222 if u want to have a look
