got a pretty good amount of little lcds going on there. I count 6.

what was the native resolution on that nec?

1024 x 786 :p Its really old.

Im actually not using them in dual screen (cant with sli anyway)

Theyre both hooked up to different computers, but using a program called Synergy, I can use one set of keyboard and mice with 2 seperate computers just like a dual screen setup.

Looking at this thread makes me want to get more monitors to keep company for my Samsung 205BW.

Please send me some LCDs ;)

How do you like those monitors? I've been looking into getting some budget priced active monitors. I've heard some negative things about horrible interference problems with them--you ever experienced this?

If you get really good quality patch cables and you have a modern electrical system in your home, outlets grounded, breaker box, etc then no, you will not have any problems. These monitors rock. They have nearly an 9" Sub, about 40lbs per monitor and you would not believe the power, the clarity, the response. I'm no pro but I can hear quality all day long. In fact, I have NEVER exp "ear fatigue" until I got these.

Here is their product page for these monitors,

http://www.behringer.com/B2031A/index.cfm?lang=ENG

"Tight, deep bass is provided by a long-throw 8 ¾" woofer with a special polypropylene diaphragm"

The manufacturer call's them "woofers" aka, "subs"

But to the un-informed, I can see these mistakeningly thought of as just midrange, etc.

So, no, I do not mean "midrange"

Lets get back on the subject of displays. If you have any questions, comments, just PM me.

Thanks

Such ignorance. WOOFERS. Not subwoofers. Woofers = mid frequencies. Subwoofers = low frequencies. It may put out bass down to like 65hz but its definitely not a subwoofer.

If those were subwoofers, your speakers would just be tweeters and a sub haha, where do you get your midranges from? The tweeter? haha.

You couldn't private message me as requested? This is not the place for you to board troll. You do know this right?

Midrange and Lows come from this unit. That was the point I was making. In your mad dash to board troll, this somehow missed you.

Shouldn't you be in the anime and console forums?

Please, any further comments, please PM me. Again, this is not the place.

Maybe it is because keyboards haven't really improved in a long while. And some may think that old keyboards are actually better, because you can push more buttons at the same time.

Regula Oblique,

Very nice! I see we have the same monitors. If you haven't tried it yet, look into an app called Ultramon. Great Dual Display app that makes moving windows around between two monitors a snap. Great application.

I like your Audio Workstation Desk. A bit cramped but like that you can rack up modules.

I have an Emu 1212m PCI audio card that I am looking to replace with a firewire audio solution.

I will be replacing my desk very shortly with a professional solution that has the extra splace for my dual acers and monitors. Then below, keyboard controller, Keyboard, and Akai MPC 2500.

Currently looking for a Audio CD type DJ turn-table that I can sample directly from instead of records. I am sure there are many software programs out there that will do this but want a hands-on for scratching, play back and pulling samples from outside the DAW. Any thoughts?

Thanks for the the tip man ill try the Ultramon program out, Yea I got my desk from guitar center for around $199, but if you need a roomier solution with racks they sale like 3 others that are bigger and have a load of rack mounts. My Fireface 800 is a great firewire audio solution actually its one of the best around in its price range, first I bought the digi002r but that locks you into pro tools le and you only get 32 tracks, but the fireface is way better and its portable, goes for around $1200 on ebay but theres a seller that sells it for a lil cheaper brand new. As far as the CD Dj turntable I really dont know about that but, before when I wanted to take samples from outside my daw I was using the sound blaster audigy 2, and just hooked all my outside equipment to the rca cables, but you prolly could do the same with your emu1212.

Yeah, that Fireface is one of the best in the price range, new they are about $1500 dollars. Not sure I need that much. I mostly do Ambient / Electronica and Hiphop.

I'm going to be getting a desk soon, around the 1st week of Oct. Can't wait really, my L-Shaped Glass desk isn't even cutting it.
