Both are in there, the cheaper one costs $219.

People, don't forget to factor in the cost of shipping. It is usually $10 - 20.

Seriously, I really wish one day Intel would just sell us the CPU but unfortunately, not this time. I'm guessing we are going to see many copies of Vista and the terrible board on the FS forum.

does anyone know anything about the shipping? Can you ship it to a different address because one of my mail address is a P.O. Box.

It's done through http://shop.intel.com, so you can update your billing/shipping address through your profile.

From the site:

Shipping Address
Please enter the street address where you would like your Shop Intel order delivered. Within the United States, we are unable to ship to PO boxes, APO (military) boxes, or FPO (foreign) boxes.

This months sweepstakes winner gets a trip to Vegas...I was reading the Official rules and came across this...LOL check it out for yourself.

WINNING: On or about November 9, 2007, independent judges will select five (5) Grand Prize winners in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. Sponsor will attempt to notify potential Prize winners by overnight mail approximately 5 – 7 business days after the Prize drawing. If a potential Prize winner is a Canadian resident, potential winner must correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question administered via mail by a judge prior to being declared a winner. Failure to correctly answer the mathematical skill-testing question will result in disqualification. Judges’ decisions are final and binding in all respects.

WTF....ROFL

I assume you are looking for SLI capability? I have to recommend the Asus, I have been very happy with mine.

SLI yes...ASUS looks nice, just really expensive...Is yours trouble free? Good OC'er, posts all the time, straightforward bios, ram flexibility...etc?

So far so good. I've had it for about a year, and so far no real issues that I can attribute to the board. See sig for OC details. I will be getting another 2g of ram soon, so i can tell you how that goes.
The ONLY issue I have had I might put on the mobo is that the system will not boot with a readyboost drive inserted. I haven't EVER update the BIOS, so....

Sounds good...Thanks for the quick info...Try turning off the USB boot device in BIOS for that readyboost problem. There are SOOO many LGA775 boards out there, I just want the best one for the money.

I will be getting the GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3R $130 as I am not using SLI or Crossfire and it is a good overclocker from what I have heard.
I will also be getting the Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) BL2KIT12864AA804 as my old system has DDR. I will also be getting another Ninja Scythe (B ver) to replace my current one (A ver).

P35 or x38 it is..
775 is yesterdays news..

I have to disagree, for moderate OC'ers, there's no good reason to go with a newer chipset. To run the Q6700 or 6600 at fsb's that high, your cooling solution would have to be more serious than a moderate oc.

Unless you plan on going penryn eventually on this board, go 775, so much cheaper.

Also, FYI from intel via email:

"Hello ,

Thank you for contacting the Intel(R) Retail Edge Program team.

Unfortunately, specific stepping information is not available for the Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Quad Q6600 processors available for the 2007 Purchase Program. When purchasing from Shop Intel(SM), either G0 or B3 will be provided.

I am not currently aware of any additional stepping option for the Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Quad Q6700 processors other than G0.

i have had no luck getting bonus points this month anyone else??

I have not seen any as well. A moot point for me, since I'm currently at 11050. Next month, 12050+ I would presume, which is fine with me.

(I just signed up for it recently)

Bought the 22" Samsung 226CW yesterday @ BBY and love it. I am going to buy another one and need a dual mount with Ergotron quality for a Wal-Mart price...Any ideas??? The Ergotrons are pushing $300...

What?!?!??! How does this relate????

Ok SmartAss, It relates to...We are all building a new computer this year and might need advice on other aspects of the build....What quality info have you provided to this year’s post??? ;)

Sheesh, I was just saying that perhaps this isn't the best place for such a post. Perhaps you could move to a different thread, or at least say you're building a new rig and want some feedback. No need to bash me.

This thread dies for days at a time and it is totally ok for everyone to ask build questions to keep it interesting...If you don't like it...Go to a retail edge thread...lol

:/ I don't appreciate your hostility.

Anyways, anyone know if there's any news on some sort of "premium bundle" from like 20k+ points?

Did you notice the wink...Guess not...This is a yearly thread that is multi-faceted, we talk about selling our mobo, overclocking our proc, running porn in 64bit vista, how much we hate our jobs etc...

Your monitor really isn't part of the build, i guess (debatable I know). At least I assume that was his argument...

:(

I'm not trying to start a feud with you. I'm just trying to get the thread closer to it's main point. I only have about 12,500 points so it seems I'm at a good spot. Looking forward to purchasing my bundle. :)
