Mica is still on the short list but it is costly. I'm not sure about how to get an even lighting effect without resorting to some extremely elaborate lighting setup. Any thoughts?
even with the gap it doesnt look bad at all dude, still has a very clean look.
I like it!![]()
Not sure. The first thing that comes to mind is a pair of cold cathode case lights, either white or coloured to match the mica, evenly spaced on each side of the case.

Well, I think that since mica is so thin, you could use clear acrylic wired with colored LEDs of your choosing since acrylic actually disperses light quite evenly. Now the only problem would be finding LEDs that would fit in < ½" space, and building a reflective "caddy" for the LEDs so they shine only up not in all directions.
that is a pretty ingenious idea using an AC filter to catch dust! kudos to you. The woodwork on this case is awesome!
The back of the PC looks incredibly 'busy' in comparison with the rest of the design. That's really the only negative thing I can say about it
You captured the 'Mission' spirit very well, I feel. It looks absolutely stunning and I, along with probably everyone else on this forum, wishes that I had even a fraction of your woodworking skills. It's a shame we aren't neighbours are I'd pop by for a visit from time to time![]()
Thanks for that!
I have a place to set our favorite beverages while viewing Watchmen in high-def. LOL Mind that you use the coasters..
If you didn't use coasters I bet you'd find a horde of angry [H]'ers on your lawn the next day with torches and pitchforks demanding your head for such sacrilege![]()
Bravo! Amazing work that is always a pleasure to follow.
