Pregnancy

looks like an interactive powerpoint presentation to me...

plus no way in hell I want that in my library.

I fully endorse this game and will get it. I think it's an important type of game for everyone; especially men to get. Along with this I would highly recommend trying out depression quest.

A lot of men know how to have Sex but don't know of the after effects of that it's a viscous cycle.

Yeah, this. And this. If the game-play actually looks anything like the images that are shown, calling this a game is a serious stretch (get it, stretch?? :p ). Doesn't belong on steam, maybe on the apple mobile market. (it's probably already there)

LOL why am I not surprised to see this. But I did still get a good chuckle, so thanks.

Is this game supposed to be an attempt to raise awareness

Yeah...it tells teens that

are dangerous.

This game is why we can't have nice things anymore.

If you guys don't want to play it, don't buy it. I don't get all the hate. At least it's not pretending to be something it's not and charging $15 like a lot of the other garbage on Steam these days.

We're making jokes about the people who made it, the intentions behind, and whether or not its actually a game that enforces real critical thinking towards the situation. Given the setup, a 14yr old who is raped and pregnant, chances are you (the little girl) aren't the one making very many decisions in the ordeal. And I can't imagine it being much more than A. get an abortion if your religion/family allows for it B. Don't and put it up for adoption at birth or C. Don't and keep it, and taxpayers become the parents of child who is doomed to live a shitty life.

I think the making of or the prequel to this would be more interesting... :p

Seriously, this is terrible.
A girl has been raped and the game maker wants us to play the conscience of the victim??
And what about the conscience of the rapist??

The solution for the girl is a pill.
The solution for the rapist is jail.
And as for the game maker, I would suggest pottery instead of making "games".

Lets see if this makes Anita happy.
Watch the game hit frontpage "must buy" status on all of the involved Gamergate game-review media outlets though! ;)

Like Gamasutra writer Leigh Alexander:
"I have an agenda. I am far from the only progressive writer. I'm part of a movement"

"Interviews, criticism, anything... No pretense of being unbiased, I write about the things I'm interested in, the creators I care about and the trends I want to see succeed. Sorry, that's the conspiracy. teehee"

So, does OP have permission to promote?

Never mind, I'm stupid. I misread op post, thought it was from a user named "Pregnancy" :p

Thought this would be a thread about whether or not it'd be safe to play video games while being pregnant.

JEEZUZ, if this is the route the sjw indie scene wants to push gaming then they can piss off and take their games with them

Thought I would chime in on a serious note. I know someone who has been through rape as a teen, so I told her about this game. Once she was done reading about it her reaction was one of shock, anger and total disgust, to say the least. She said this is NOT a subject that a game should be made about, and is a serious, life altering matter. Also, SJW don't know WTF they are talking about, IMO.

I totally agree that this game is tasteless and involves highly dubious morality.

However, my grandpa, who fought during WW2, could say exactly the following after seeing a WW2 based video game:
"his reaction was one of shock, anger and total disgust, to say the least. He said this is NOT a subject that a game should be made about, and is a serious, life altering matter"

My question is: should WW2 based game be banned because it can affect the sensitivity of grandpas??

Banned? Nah.

But if some shitty text game magically gets a ton of press simply for being "controversial", kinda pisses me off. Same goes for stuff like Hatred, while still being a legitimate game, gets poor press for opposite reasons.

No. That is getting into a slippery slope that we do not want to go down. I am firmly a believer that if you don't like a thing, you don't have to watch/play/listen to it, and just move on with your life.

Still, it doesn't excuse poor taste (which is subjective, but not my place to say a thing cannot exist, unless it does grievous harm to another).
