Pregnancy is an interactive short story on Steam about a 14 year old who was molested by an older man and is now pregnant. She is hiding her pregnancy in shame and you play her conscious. Help navigate her through her pregnancy by guiding her decision making.

I wanted to ... I just couldn't crack the joke about playing through as a different character after finishing the game and unlocking a special mode...

Considering most teenage male gamers have never even met a girl and more pregnant teenage females are probably not gamers this seems like a weird idea for a title at best ... kudos for originality I guess but this seems more of a proof of concept than an actual game

However, maybe it will open the door to something along the lines of For I Have No Mouth but I Must Scream where players can experience socially and ethically challenging roles within the game environment

I'm a fan of visual novels so I may like this. I''ll give the DRM free demo a try after work.

Gamersgate gave us nothing but hillbilly games. This is what the SJW's want? What is this shit?

Holy shit! I thought no way this could be real. What a stupid concept for a game. Would be better as a short film.

Not gonna lie, when I first read the OP, I thought it said 14 year old boy getting pregnant and had to do a double take.

It might be interesting. but I can't see it where I am now.

Religious zealots creeping into gaming. Apparently there's nothing holy anymore.

Gamersgate
Gamersgate is a GOG like website. Just for clarity sake.

As far as the game, 100% an agenda cash-in. Any critique of the game will be publicized as (insert -ism or -gy term). There is a lot of trash on steam now, expect more of this and more shallow "devs" trying to one-up each other in the process.

I noticed the link to the demo on the developer site was broken so I emailed them pointing that out. I got a response thanking me for the heads up and giving me a key for the game on Steam. It may not be an expensive game but kudos to the developer for being a standup guy. If I like it I will buy a DRM free copy just to show support.

IF this is written by a girl under 18 and she was the victim or knew someone it's cool but if a guy wrote this game it's not really right.

I think if you finish the game it should unlock a special mode called "Who's your daddy?" where you chase men around with cotton swabs and once done you have to race it back to the lab.

the spin off: CYS: West Virginia, Field and Sheep.

Saying what a person can or can't do based on their age and gender. Good to know agism and sexism are still alive and cut both ways :)

You gotta wait 9 months for the DLC

I remember reading something about this. If you play, keep in mind that it is an imperfect English translation done by a non-native speaker (I believe the devs are Hungarian?), so don't let that put you off. To cut right to the point - this is an "artistic" visual novel game, not - as some have suggested elsewhere on the net - some sort of "rape simulator". The developer, Locomotivah, has a similar title mechanics-wise, already on Steam: "Cahors Sunset", where you help an elderly man make decisions that prolong or shorten his life, give him more or less happiness etc... and live as long as possible.

I think gaming has room for these sort of "artistic" titles, in the same vein as it does for adult games, blockbuster shooters, JRPGs, Visual Novels, or major MMOs. If it isn't you kind of game, that's cool, but its presence helps to guard against the (unfortunately prevalent idea, pushed by a vocal minority ) that gaming is pretty much one-dimensional and made exclusively to cater to young males. Many will use this sort of title to push their own agenda, but from what I've been able to see it doesn't appear the developer made it specifically as one-way commentary on a particular viewpoint.

With luck, the game will be appreciated artistically without being sucked into the vortex of a shitstorm generated by certain factions clashing.

If you choose to prosecute the rapist within the first 5 seconds of the game, do you win?

I'm also guessing "morningafterpill" is a cheat code and "Legitimate Rape" is the hardest difficulty level.

yes take the potion.... its all over, all over... what a legacy, what a legacy.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was written by those men with no testosterone.

Anywho, I call the first DLC a shooter: "Revenge of the aborted fetal zombie"
