Post Your Workstations 2013

tbh peeps who ask why so many are obviously the ones that never really tried or made good use of multi monitor set ups. in my opinion you can never have enough

Yaka is right. You got to see the full potential of Eyefinity. See how others are using it (and gaming on it). I give credit to suiken_2mieu for his old 5x1P (8000x2560) setup for sparking interest.

This setup is for gaming when I'm not reading, doing Excel, VM's or troubleshooting Eyefinity. Originally, this was for WoW multiboxing, but that was a long time ago. Now, I'm playing Wargame: AirLand Battle and Strike Suit Zero at 8000x2560 with native support. It's a lot more immersive.

Main setup:

Scraped together over the years. Samsung speakers salvaged from a XQ-100, attached to SA-GX690. I'd say the oldest components besides the desk at this point are the PC case, the 80gig HDD (^_^), and the amp (older than me, probably). And yes, the abyssus does jitter :/

Now, the laptop/tinker setup...

T400 w/ dock with a 4870 hooked to it. Massively undervolted/underclocked as the dock won't supply the full 75W over the pci-e. Time for PE4H :(
Otherwise, mostly reusing old stuff for this one.. Still looking for an FW900.

Finally, the mobile part..

ipad3 w/ k172 HD, xperia s w/ monoprice 8320. Don't ask what the AKGs have gone through.

Very nice jedolley. Where did you get the movie posters from?

The Batman posters are from a artist on Etsy.

http://www.etsy.com/listing/120953067/the-dark-knight-trilogy-all-3-postersshop_home_feat

The Star Wars posters are from here. http://mixedtees.com/star-wars-all-posters

A couple warnings about the Star Wars posters... They are normally printed in a larger size, 24x36(mine are 12x18). Also, these are copies of a limited edition poster that was released in 2010 (FYI, in case anyone has an issue with that).

Lepai and Dayton B652.. If you got them within the last six-eight months contact dayton and tell them you want replacements. They improved them as of July 2nd.

Either way put them up on some small stands.

I got them about 3 months ago, so I am good, right? I wasn't even aware there were an improved model.

By [H] standards, he doesn't have enough. lol

I concur  But I do like he is using one of my favorite keyboards - the Saitek Eclipse II it looks like, may be the Eclipse.

Not enough monitors though, I never thought of 7 TBH, I am shooting for 5 total 27" 144hz monitors myself............. This is why I post on [H] - there is no such thing as overkill here or over done, so we are accepted as part of the fam, nice to see a brother extremist (y) rock on with your set up and seven monitors dude!

3 months.. Replace them. Tell them you would like the new better ones and they will probably won't even ask for those back.

Here is my temporarily desk at work. Canon 800 mkII microfilm scanner and my laptop.
In case your wondering, the drawing is a fuselage belt-frame, 1940s era Ford drawing.

a rare scene when my desk and everrything is picked up! so thought I'd share it.

This is my workstation even though there is ZERO work performed here lol.

Here's our current setup (I'm on the right, my girlfriend on the left). There's been a couple slight tweaks since this photo was taken (there's an extra monitor on the left side now, and we've got some new shelving up).

This setup will be short lived though, we're moving out of our apartment and into a house in July, so we'll have to take it all apart and rebuild it.

what's that big stereo at the bottom for?

Absolutely gorgeous builds, especially the fire! Do you have any more pictures or a build log when you went through putting it and the Octane together?

what is that large setup on the right under the desk

looks like Audio Equipment, Silver one looks like a Sony Receiver. Could be wrong though.
