@w1retap

I am so envious of that setup. I just upgraded my rig in late 2007 (which is recent for me, lol) so I'll probably wait to upgrade to all of that goodness in 2010 or so. :p

WERD! dv9500t to be exact. Dual HDD's too. I'm thinking of ditching the desktop and just asking for more funding on laptop workstations hahaha. You got to let the boss know!

is that a screensaver??? Where might I find that Mr. Pardonme?????

Link Pick the Fliqlo.

love this screen saver but ever time i install it it wont keep the settings?

myelin where did you get the rack shelving next to your desk? Do you know the manufacturer or anything? I have been looking for a decent utility shelving unit.

I just got it and actually, it is a great shelf. I did the "site to store" through Wal-Mart. Made by Whitmor.

Shelf is here.

Moved my desk, relocated my PC to under the desk and added a new MacBook pro since I've last posted. Crappy pics, my camera sucks.

@myelin1:

I have a 2443bw too, I'd like to mount it using the arm you used for the 22" vertical monitor instead, how did you hook it up? Do you have to drive a giant screw from the bottom of your desk into the stand?

I did not use the mounting bolt that was included. It is clamped to the underside of the desk using the provided hardware. To give you an idea of how well it works, the Ikea table is hollow and I have 2 of these mounts on the table. The arms cost a bit (about $150 each) but they are very nice quality.

Whoa. We've somehow managed to travel back in time. The island must be moving through time again.

Great setups everyone - you inspirited me to post my own for the first time.

Here's my "work" station. Actually, despite the consoles (one of which is practically never used and the other is folding 24/7, I bet you can guess which), I do get quite a bit of work done, as this is all crammed into a (somewhat spacious) college dorm room.

New for this year is my first from the ground up desktop build (Q6600 @3.4, GTX 260, 8GB, 9.89TB), which is also taking advantage of the free utilities here to fold 24/7 for the [H]orde. Shamefully, I had to make do last year with this beautiful 2707wfp and only a MacBook Pro to drive it :eek:

All consoles and PC go through to the Z-5500s and 2707 (perfect 1:1 720p, 1080p scaling on ALL inputs), and work like they were made for each other (not an accident). For the curious:

Dell 2707wfp

Desktop ------------- DVI --> HDMI ----\
....................................................|----------HDMI Switch --> DVI --> 2707
Playstation 3 ------------------HDMI ----/
Xbox 360------------------------------------------------------ VGA --------------------> 2707
Wii ------------------------------------------------------------- Component -----------> 2707

Logitech Z5500

Desktop ----------------- SPDIF Coax -------------------------------------------------------> z5500
Playstation 3 ---------- SPDIF Optical -----\
...........................................................|------- Optical Y Joiner --------------> z5500
Xbox 360 ----------------SPDIF Optical ------/
Wii ------------------------------------------------------------- RCA Stereo ---> 3.5mm ---> z5500 Line in

Anyways, enjoy the pics!
