Yeah, I bought it in college...during Sony's heydays. It's obsolete for surround sound, but still works great for stereo.pfunkman said:I had that reciever for almost 5 years and loved it until i bought my new yamaha. Brother has it now and its still going strong. I originally got it from my dad who bought it new when it came out over 10 years ago
I guess I don't understand what you're talking about...Omegaslast said:why do you have that marantz may i ask??
tons of wattage is goin to waste..
Very cool. It looks like a silver Krell to mePinipig523 said:My new stereo amplifier has arrived!!
YAY!!
Here it is in all it's glory!
The Plinius SA102 Class A bias amplifier - full 125w at 8ohm, 250 at 4ohm, 500 at 2ohm, 1000 at 1ohm.
Dont worry, I moved the Rotel preamp there only for the pic. If I let it stay when the amp goes on Class A bias, the preamp will be cooked!
100 lbs of pure aluminum joy! Wowowowow!!! Dual monoblock design, silver wiring internally, made in New Zealand (not China), $6000... oh yea!
Yup... I'm stoked!![]()

Oh my. If I didn't absolutely need a new monitor, I'd be building a set like that. Dorm room or no dorm roombob said:I cant find the rest of my pictures, I only have one subwoofer in the shot.. Came out to around $700.00 for the subwoofers, and somewhat large bookshelf speakers (2x sealed 10 woofers, 1.5" tweeters). It either came down to a 21" LCD or a subwoofer, and I was getting rather frustraited by my 8".

I present to you : one of the twins
Each have one 6" port tuned to ~14hz, I cant remember for sure, but I beleive they are about 650L of volume each, with one 15" 800W driver in the bottom. If anyone is mildly interested in knowing more/why, PM me... Im not going to sort through 20 pages of replies to see if someone quoted me or not.
