Nothing too fancy. I like to keep it pretty simple.
 
The clock is built into tmux (also used to split up the windows like that)

'ctrl+b t' will show the clock
'ctrl+b "' will split the window one way
'ctrl+b %' will split the window the other day

The chat client is finch, it comes with pidgin in most cases.

Awesome. I also use tmux, I will definitely be using that clock.

I split all the time, just haven't used the clock function :D
