Ultra X2 Connect w/ 120mm Yate Loon powered by one of the PSU's 4 pin connectors. :D

I've cut myself many times and required stitches. Few times with an exacto removing a heatspreader and other times with a box cutter. I never got stitches though I always cleaned it out with alcohol and used crazy glue to seal the cut =O

rofl, brilliant! By doing so you avoided the whole adapting-to-2-pin PITA....awesome. Orange fan looks awesome in the X2, as well.

not really a case-mod, but it IS using computer-parts :p

the fans are 120mm pabst, pulled from an old rackmount server

Is this a dorm room pic? That has RA fire inspection confusion written all over it.

PS - love the white faux brick wallpaper :p

small "ghetto mod" to my sisters rig.

Here we've got ma little friend, a Samsung 40GB 2.5 I'm going to use to replace her broken Hitachi De(ath)skstar (**king piece of crap)

well, I used an adaptor I found in between my stuff LOL, and well works as never before.
Exelent :p
well, is nothing impresive but still counts as a mod doesn't it?

that you not screwed it in makes it somewhat ghetto.

and blurry pics are always ghetto, imo

anyway if it works without problems in that orientation leave it as it is.

New 120mm fans on the side of my server. I measured it wrong (well, I used a biro) so the right-hand fan won't actually fit because the drive cage comes too far down. It's only the bottom floppy bay though, so I'm going to take a Dremel to it when I get home. Oh, & there's only 3 screws between the 2, because the Lian-Li screws are bigger than normal fan screws & wouldn't fit.

Cellphone shot for added ghetto.

how the hell did you rig that up?
That's awesome
tie-wrapped the fans together, cut one of the powerleads from the PSU and extended 12v and ground with a few feet of normal extension cord (soldered and taped the connections).
jumpered the ATX-connector (green to black) to keep the PSU switched on.

yeah it has this rough mechanical touch. it's looks way to good for the ghetto mod thread

Ghetto water block?? maybe, maybey not..

The Teflon dots on the bottom of my mouse started falling off...so I covered most of the underside of the mouse with "Scotch Satin Finish GiftWrap Tape" :D

Damn, this stuff is better than Teflon! I can give my mouse a tap and it'll glide from one side of my mouse pad to the other now, ha!

How about High-End Getto? I haven't looked through every page, but everything seems to be low-end (making cases out of cardboard, duct tape, and such).

I'd like to see a fancier case that has big, spinny wheels for casters sticking out the sides, with a hydraulic suspension (to bounce in air and side-to-side - think low-rider) for every wheel (controlled by remote), a trunk lid that opens revealing some speakers. It might have to be bigger than your normal case and require a lot of work, but it should be doable. The more gold and bling, the better!

that should really be run on a desk....not the floor. i'd hate to see that shit get some dose of ESD and die on you.

While it is ghetto, you may want to assemble your PC on a wood or any other non-carpet surface. ESD might kill that fine looking system.

Pwahaha, that's great! :D

Edit: On second glance, it sorta resembles a hemorrhoid, sticking out of the back of the case like that...

Fan died on a friend's 5900xt, so...

aside from being pretty loud it seemed to work surprisingly well.
sorry for low quality pics, took them with camera phone

dude, taking it with a camera phone makes it even MORE ghetto. LOL!

Nice work on the fan there. Any difference in temps?

heh, I did something similar with my 9800pro when the fan died... I used the same fan too

Temps are a lot lower. Cooled RAM a lot better too.

Hmmm, maybe I should do something similar to my 9800Pro. The fan isn't dead or anything but it could sure use some coooling...

Hey I did that too! but mine looked nice, I screwed it into the fins on the HS...

Sorry, glare from the window

That's not ghetto, that's rice.

haha, thanks.

the fan was dead on the card when it came to me, so it went from "too hot" to "not too hot" on the ghetto heat scale.
