UPDATE:
Here are some more pics.
This is what I was talking about in terms of the PS3 overscanning slightly. Hard to tell if the monitor is at fault, or if it's the PS3 entirely. When I switched the PS3 to 720p, I got the same result with this image, but other interface elements wern't overscanned at all (more about that in the review).
Here's a shot of Tekken 5: DR. This game is probably the best looking thing on the PS3 at 1080p. When you see the comparison shots of VF5, you'll know what I'm talking about (which makes me hope that Tekken 6 is 1080p instead of 720p like VF5).
Blu-Ray version of the film Lord of War. There's a ton of detail in this shot, and all of it shows up pretty damn clear. However, because of the above overscan thing, I don't know if it's supposed to be sharper or not.
