gah, i called the computer store that is handling my RMA, the board isn't in yet, oh well, i gotta wait for newegg to restock the 3200+ mobiles anyway. Do you think a local computer store would let me return a brand new mobo fresh from Intel for cash or store credit? I'm hoping they do this cuz i'm depending on it cuz I need the 130$ for the CPU :p
 
ehh i called him a stupid pre-modder back in day, because he has a psu with adjustable pots, and im gonna do a vsense mod to adjust my pots.

Thats ok, i'll get this train back on its rails ;) Eclipse, didn't you mention something of a s754 club website? I do a little webdesign as a hobby and wouldn't mind making a template/layout in photoshop :)

Yeah I wouldn't mind, i'm out of school for the summer and I need something to keep busy until the end of the month when I get the money for my rig. I'll start playing around with ideas tonight :cool:

So, can the first post of this thread, now that it is a stick, have some useful references for 754 owners? Such as what MBs and BIOSes support mobile chips, and where to buy Rev E. mobiles of the 256k, 512k, and 1M cache variety? What are the codenames of the various 754 chips and what are thier respective features?

While the backslapping comraderie is nice, the sticky thread could have the opportunity to consolidated resource of some useful information particular to 754 users. Would anyone agree? While I know the idea is mine, I would have to defer to the exerience of others. My 3200+ newcastle
 
i can agree with you GodsMadClown, i could be of service with the 2800+ newcastle and the vnf3-250 motherboard. i know that thing frontwards and backass and everything.

not too far off. i've had mine up to 3.85v with the rig running, and the dial wasn't topped out ;)
(measured with a multimeter, not lame onboard sensors)
