You're awesome!
Where'd you get your clothes? The toilet store.

I go on vacation to New Orleans for a few days and this place just explodes, should I leave for a couple weeks and comeback to HardSempron.com? Haven't validated it yet but just hit 2430 on a 270fsb, still gotta' test for stability but I think it can hold up for some general beating for a while. :D

As much as I love Ron Burgandy (got the DVD) and the gang...it's a bit off topic :(

Anyway, did we have any luck getting a list or something. Do we need to send PM's to make a comprehensive list?

Got a S754 3200+ right here! I'm in! Today the thread, Tomorrow... The forum! Or something to that effect!

"the power of the force... will OVERCOME YOU!" bwahaha

ATTENTION!
i think we should have a picture contest, who can make their s754 look the coolest? :D

On topic, people. This thread was stickied for a reason, and the last 2 pages are making me think you guys are smoking the funny stuff..

That's what I said. :D

and.. i can see this going off topic again. since we have a definite path until some more people show up with s754 specific questions, shall we venture forward with our leet pictures of s754 goodness? :p

I'll pull my chip this weekend. I wanted to clean it up and switch to a different thermal compound. :D

My heatsink set is too good for me to mess with it. Tomorrow or the day after I'll post a photo of my copper filled rig. XP-90C and a Leadtek 6800GT. Mmm mm, Cu Goodness!

I was going to photoshop a picture of my Venice, but then it turned out I never got around to reinstalling it, and I don't feel like hunting up the CD. Sorry. ^_^

Next chip I want is an X2 4400, and THEN a 754...so you gotta help me get an excuse for both systems first. ;)

Oh and maybe a Dell widescreen LCD, and a new chair...so um...better be a really good excuse.

Oh and I'm in an old building with shitty wiring. So I could also do with a few pointers on calculating how much stuff is safe to plug in before it explodes.

Here's an excuse: If you dont get a S754, you cant go to our secret club meetings.

i don't think the picture of the core itself is needed, more creative shots like this:

shot1.JPG

as a side note, techhead, it seems that you have an idea as to what this thread should be for. previously it was a general help section for all of us 754'ers, but since the questions died down.. :p

^^Yeah, now it's more like a showoff thread.I have no issues with that, I'll keep it stickied for a day or two more, and if I don't see much more 754 Q&A goodness, I'll let it drift free.

im probably 100% my fault for dragging this off topic. So im done with any more money related pictures or Anchorman quotes. Im making my contribution 100% s754 based now.

Don't put my baby back to pasture. :( I promise it'll be good. :p

And yeah, I've got some more pictures to post before we lose sticky of my 'half hazard lapping' on my XP-120....but I have to put the pics on my laptop (forgot to yesterday) and upload them, and post 'em here.

I hate the clawhammer's thermal diode.

Goddamnit. RB said the low end Newarks are binned too tightly and won't come anywhere near the 3700's potential. This makes me sad.

Y'all got anything else that'll match the price & power of a low end Venice? What about that low voltage Roma core on the roadmap? Any good?

yes we do, DTR claws. the 3000+ will nearly always hit 2.7ghz easily. even on the Chaintech vnf3-250 cheapo 55 dollar dtr board, they hit 2.7ghz. thats my next upgrade step. actually it will have more power, the 1mb of cache will destroy the venices DC and 512k cache.

ashmedai said:
Reaaaally. And CV has those for $136 shipped.

One thing you'll need to remember is to tweak your heatsink so that it will make contact with the core. The DTR's lack heatspreaders.

Hmm, since this is the S754 club...
Anyone have any overclocking info on any..
CBBID 0501BPAW Winchester/Palermo cpus?

I've got a
SDA2800AIO3BA
CBBID 0501BPAW

Also to remember is this as it's a DTR notebook chip and apparently not all desktop mobos like it. Or something.

But theres no reason to NOT use a DFI or Chaintech mobo fo S754. I only put chaintech in there because there are a few fans of that, haha. The DFI is really the best because of its vdimm options.

it seems that it's about equal to the claw 3400+ mobile.. but cooler and with sse3.

also, why am i the only one with a cool picture so far? :p

Chaintech...well it's not quite as bad as Gigabyte, but it's flirting with it.
