Love your socket 754?

But this CPU can't handle the high HTT very well.. I think I got a dud... although 275 is considered high isn't it?
keep working on it. that dfi should do >350mhz :D

throw that baby some extra vcore! im sure you can hit way over 275.
I can... check the validation link in my sig.
I just can get it stable at any higher than 275, even 280 with a lower divider with 1.55v is unstable.

very nice suicide screenie. it sucks when you get a dud. i got some dud ram, it wouldnt do over ddr429 with any settings.

agreed. my clawhammer didn't like much over 2.35ghz :(

all of the ram i have can break 240mhz.
excluding ram that has been damaged (stupid ch-6 stick), all of my ram can break 250mhz, 5 sticks of which can do it at 2.5-2-2 or lower :D

ram is one of those areas where my luck seems to do well

My video card isn't very impressive overclock either... 560/1120 and it artifacted in CS: Source after an hour, and that was an auto detect setting.

my 6800gt can't even break 380mhz :(

How far did you get that 1GB stick?
And damn, that's a very disappointing overclock, worse than mine :p

hey hit 250 3-3-3. which is better then my crappy patriot stuff

actually 257mhz once i bumped up vdimm to 3.1v.. what a waste of voltage that was :D

Damn, that's awesome!
I traded a bunch of crap for this RAM just because I needed it badly and I couldn't get rid of the stuff.
My old stuff I upgraded from.
Chaintech 7VJL APOGEE
Athlon XP 1800+ JIUHB :)
Powercolor Radeon 9600 "Pro" EZ400/400 (Piece of shit, clocked lower than a real Pro)

damn, old school amd oc'ing :D
I loved that CPU...
I didn't have good RAM then either (DDR333 wouldn't overclock at all)
It did 166x11.5 the whole time I had it...

I'm getting an AMD K6-2 500 in the mail on Monday :)
This time I won't fry it and triple check my voltage settins!
I accidentally flipped the wrong jumper and gave it 3.4v!
So I hope I can get the new one running at 550mhz at least.

is the secret message ITIS? and im getting me a pentium pro with TURBO BUTTON!
Eh?

I'm gonna see how well the K6-2 will work as a CS: Source server, if it supplies good enough ping I will make a special server :)

the first letter of each line in your post spells the word itis. which is what people get from eating turkey, like you know you get tired and wanna sleep. thats the itis.

Yes... yeah, that must be it...

Anyways, what do you guys think of a CS: Source S754 Club server? :)

Hey guys, anyone know the best option for a mATX s754 board? I was looking at the aspire mATX case at anandtech and it looks real nice, i'm just worried about the mobo choice.

I realize that, but all the boards seem to be geared towards a budget non-gamer type, not the [H]ard 754ers.

Biostar K8NHA-M Grand, try as hard as you can to find this board. It has htt controls, vdimm, vcore, pci locks, and dram timing adjustments. you mgiht hafta order it from liek outta the states, but its hands down the best s754 mATX mobo out there

I have a Gigabyte K8VT800M and it has been a great board for me. It wouldent overclock for crap , but with the latest bios I was able to get 150 Mhz overclock on it. Its imo one of the nicer looking matx boards out there.

What sucks about the board is lack of voltage options and also no PCI / AGP lock. Besides that it has been a pretty good board.

I have never heard the words "Biostar" and "best" used in the same sentence.

add me to the love my 754 rig

just gotta learn to overclock amd now after 3 years of intel o/cing

oh but it is the best matx board for 754. has voltage control and agp/pci lock.

just gotta put "member of s754 club" in your sig, and your good to go.

Are we 754'rs still staying [H]ard?

I find myself having a real hard time resisting the venice goodness... oooh that cold overclocking ownage....

But, I'm staying thrifty! Just bought a broken DFI NF3 Lanparty, and I'm gonna fix her! Just a broken ATX connector.

Sooo, if I ditch my other value mem and get TMSP, are you guys gonna give me a hand at making it sing? I have Fortron FSP530 with adjustable pots, so, I think I'll be able to do something with that voltage.

Will I need that OCZ booster thing to get the volts needed for TMSP ownage?

no need for a booster, you jsut gotta use the 4.0v vdimm bios, your adjustable pots on your psu do all the work from there on. You set the 3.3v rail to like 3.6v, and the 4.0v vdimm bios will put the vdimm at 3.6v.

ive noticed theres a decline in the s754 thread, i need to think of a new contest or something.
