Looks great. Playing Tomb Raider now at 1600, no AA, and max settings. Rivatuner won't load OSD with DX12. Gameplay is smooth. Using scptoolkit with a PS3 controller and BT dongle to play 3rd person games wireless. Works great.
LG just pushed an update on my 65E. I never had any signal issues...probably because I'm running video only to the TV and a separate HDMI to the AVR. If you do this with an AVR that does not have HDMI 2.0 and the AVR becomes your primary display for whatever reason, spam windows key + P. The AVR needs to be extended, not cloned and set it to 1080p with Nvidia settings. Anyways, others with input/signal issues are reporting the update fixed their problem and can now run audio over HDMI to the TV. Update also added a bunch of web channels to the live TV list but they mine usage data in exchange. This can be disabled.
I prefer RGB at full dynamic range since this is what MadVR outputs and my PC is the only source. With this setting, you should set black level to HIGH on the TV. With ycbcr444 limited, set black level on the TV to LOW. This will be obvious if you use a solid black desktop. The wrong setting will either crush blacks or make black look grey. Honestly I can't see the difference between the two modes. Figured I might as well leave everything in the chain as RGB full dynamic range so conversion isn't required.
At 200 hours now, the banding and vignetting is far more pronounced than when the set was new. This is only evident on a 3% slide. Haven't noticed anything bad with actual content. A 4k web rip look worse than a 1080p bluray rip. Given the choice, I always grab a bluray rip.
Great to read a good gaming experience with this OLED tv. How good is the tv upconverting 1080p videos to 4K? And applying HDR to non HDR videos? Is the screen glossy or semi glossy? You have the E or the B model?
Purple tint? So does that mean they're using PDC/PECVD on this panel? Would be the first time I've heard of it being used on a display.I have a 65 E and play 1080p videos through madVR with image doubling and it looks great. Computer is my only source. The panel is glossy with a purple tint. Have to turn off lights behind me at night otherwise they show up on the panel. Haven't tried any HDR yet.
God, that thing looks gorgeous. I'm now in a dilemma on whether I should get one of these or do the exhaust on my car...Welp, took delivery of the 55 C6 today. I'm pretty impressed by the colors, PQ, and build quality of this display.
The pictures I took are very unprofessional and with a ipad air camera, and the colors looked messed up but I assure you this display is sharp and the display looks great.
Planning to wall mount the thing next to my five other displays but for now it'll sit on my desk so I can run through some games and test it.
Currently sitting about 4 feet from the display, and it is way too close. I'm thinking 5-7 feet would be perfect, so I'll move my desk back another two feet once I get it mounted on the wall.
Enjoy the pics!
As long as you have the input renamed to PC it will run in 444. So you can run PC+Game. Apparently the input lag is higher with input renamed to PC, though it feels no different to me.
Just get one they are amzzing tvs and gaming at 60 fps is smoth and looks amzzing st 4kI really want the 65E6, but LG's recent demonstration of HFR tech tells me the 2017 model should be a huge jump instead of the usual incremental improvement.
Hi I'm having an issue with my B6 I can't seem to be able to run 1440p @ 60hz every time I select 1440 it locks at 30hz I've changed the input to PC and turned on the just scan option like I had to with last years LG LED which worked fine but my B6 just doesn't want to do it
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Not sure how I'm quite new to PC gamingWhy not just use GPU scaling? Does the TV's internal scaling look better?
No info?Hi I am about to buy a 55B6 but I have one question. Does 24p work via the Amazon/Netflix apps? Is that cinema or film mode or whatever its called accessable meaning 24p will work or not? If not then the Oled will probably output that 24p stuff with 50/60hz which would be another beautiful stutter festival ^^
Thank you very much in advance

I assume I can change the settings in nvidia control panel to get it to lock 1440 @ 60hz?
PushNo info?
Great thanks for the help!Yeah, turn on GPU scaling in Nvidia CP, then you should be able to select 1440@60. Your graphics card will be scaling 1440p up to a 4k signal.
Great thanks for the help!
Ok I've tried that and it won't change to 60hz only goes up to 30
I just can't understand why I can't get this B6 to run 1440 @ 60hz and others can!
Well god bless you illram! So it is possible to activate that "real cinema" stuff during Amazon/Netflix stuff, thats a good sign. 24p is working via the apps then. Surprises me a bit but its good If the stutter you are referring to is regular 24p stutter (can be more aggressive or less depending on the scene and the movie ofc...) then its no prob at all. But I am ready for the B6 nowNetflix and Amazon are 24p through the TV. Vudu has "HDX" options for 24p content. There is a "real cinema" mode in the picture settings that needs to be enabled to display it judder free. This setting apparently lowers the panel refresh rate to 48hz. There is also a more "traditional" interpolation option as an alternative. ("True Motion" setting).
In slow panning shots you may still see judder no matter the frame rate or settings though. I haven't tinkered with it enough to see if I can completely remove it. I have seen judder on a total of one panning shot in about 120+ hours of use of the TV so far, and that was a rental so I did not go back and test different settings on that particular scene to see if I could fix it. (Cloverfield Lane scene, in bunker where camera slowly pans around the bunker.) There is a lot of room for tinkering with the settings which is nice.
I have the b6 you will be happy with it even old moives look good on it....but it ruined me for watching other tvsWell god bless you illram! I have GPU for perform scaling onIt's supposed to work. What do you have selected below the line "Perform scaling on:" in the Nvidia CP?
It was definitely judder/stutter/whatever. It's not perfect.
I have GPU for perform scaling on
Resolution 2560x1440
Refresh only goes up to 30Hz
This is a B6 by the way
Do you find the C6 offers that much more than the B6? Does having the curve really help that much, especially if you are sitting pretty close to it as a gaming monitor?
Ok thanks will give it a goMaybe try setting up a custom resolution in Nvidia CP, but still leave on GPU scaling.
If that doesn't work, you may have to use Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
Ok I've uninstalled my GPU drivers and still nothing
For anyone with a B6 that can run games at 1440p @ 60Hz can you please tell me what aspect ratio what source name you're using and can you tell me if your
using the just scan option please
This TV is driving me up the wall
Thanks
Yes runs 1080 and 2160 @ 60Hz no problemYou can run 2160p at 60hz, right? Then there should be absolutely no reason you can't run 1440p60 upscaled to 4k. Your TV would report 4K but you GPU would report 1440p.
Actually, this should probably work: run the CRU program I linked, then DELETE 1440p30hz, and just have no 1440p in the EDID. Then when you turn on GPU scaling, Nvidia should automatically have 1440p amongst the available resolutions.
